This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Helios anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

[ He's almost caught off guard a slight jump at the other's voice over the journal. There's some shuffling as he puts aside a current project to address the other over the journal. ]

Donatello? It's nice to hear from you! [ Oh dear...that. ] Ah...well yes it was. Oh but I'm perfectly fine now actually! Feeling loads better than I was.

[Voice - Late Night March 13th]

Giles' voice, when it comes over the journal, is tired, rasping, and faint.]

...Helios? Can you hear me?

[ Helios is usually awake so when he hears that he is...well he's very concerned. Extremely concerned because it doesn't sound like anything that's gone right and in Luceti that can mean lots of things. He'll answer almost instantly and you might hear some fumbling as he goes for his journal. ]

I'm here, yes. Wh-what's wrong? Where are you?

[Seven days since they last spoke. Seven days of discomfort and mostly-isolation and mulling over the billion-and-one things troubling Robert since the end of that thrice-damned experiment.

Bloody hell, he was lonely. Really lonely - it's strange, he used to be so afraid of people, but... But he was really lonely.

Lonely and... and afraid that, like with Ami, this had changed his relationship with Helios forever.

He attempts a very uncomfortable, ashamed little message today, because he misses Helios so damned much right now.]

... Helios...?

... C-Could... Could I... v-visit you today?

I... I would greatly a-appreciate your company...

[ Oh, oh dear not a message he was expecting at all. There's a small pause of silence before an answer. ]

Robert? Is...is everything alright? And-yes...yes of course. [ He can't help but acquiesce because you sound so lonely and Helios has been meaning to talk to you but you know. He just...couldn't bring himself to contact you. ]

[Voice - May 31st]

...I'm afraid we may need your assistance.

[Cheer up though, bro. Giles doesn't sound injured this time around. Just...incredibly solemn.]

[ Oh well not the message he was expecting to hear. But then again Giles did have a way of bringing up cryptic and worrisome messages. It was almost a reoccurring theme for them.

We? Well at least he doesn't sound injured or anything like that. Cue relieved sigh out of the journal's microphone function before Helios gets close enough to be heard again. You so need to stop doing that Giles. ]

Ah...assistance? With what?

[The day after a certain conversation, Homura makes his way to the library. It's not a place he visits so often himself, as people tend to interest him more than books. Still, there's likely something to be said for the hobby, and Homura glances over the titles until he sees the person he came here for. He only recognizes Helios from their brief conversation the day before, but the man stands out enough.]

You're the one from yesterday, correct? Who hopefully managed to save his room from burning completely.

[ Helios will look up from his book noting the other with some confusion before remembering. ]

Ah! Y-yes I am. I did actually stop it. Haha good thing too.

[Probably not a familiar voice. It sounds slightly drugged but otherwise alert.]

[ That is definately not a familiar voice and with the subsequent action of Archie's call there will be some banging on Helios' end. You caught him by surprise, derp. ]

[Long day. Long, trying, stressful, upsetting day.

It's after midnight. His last check of the clock confirms that he's been officially been alive again for over twenty four hours.

By rights, he should be exhausted. By rights, he should be sleeping.

He isn't. He's not sure he ever will again. So he'll probably be spending most of the night being quiet in the living room or outside behind CH7, working on the boat by the light of a borrowed lamp until sunrise.]

[ Very long day indeed. Helios should be sleeping as well but you know, when your best friend has just come back from the dead it's, well, it's a bit strange to sleep. Naturally pushing himself isn't going to do any good either but...he's given up on reading completely. It's depressing and the past week has been so hard because of the death penalty he received. Nothing to take him mind off what happened besides simply...wandering. He's almost wary to ask Giles what they took, if he even knows, but it's a topic that'll come up on its own.

He'll be walking into the living room books in hand and jump at seeing the other just sitting there quietly. Scared him bro, he almost drops those books too. ] Ah! Giles you're...still awake?

[Oh, the joys of text-to-voice programs on cellphones. Considering how the journal is making a recording off of the audio from a cellphone, it's not the best sounding message, but it'll do for now.]

Hello, Helios, this is Ginia. I was wondering if we could talk about spirits and magic when you had a spare moment? Reply back when you can.

[ The reply comes a short while afterward with some banging in the background. The voice on the other end sounds strange but Helios won't comment on it. Some sort of...technological thing probably. ]

Oh yes I wouldn't mind that at all! That'd be wonderful actually! Perhaps we should meet somewhere, if you had and place specific in mind?

[It had taken several days to get the courage to finally leave his apartment, but eventually Robert had swallowed his fear and stepped out of the building just long enough to fetch a particularly convoluted text on advanced computational mechanics. Then he had penned the note Don had instructed him to, taking great care to get it exact.

Now, he sets off with the book under his arm, picking his way slowly - carefully - towards Community Building 7. He tries to look as unafraid - as nonchalant - as possible, despite the twin fears of the Shredder's presence and the hatred of his former best friend.

But eventually he finds himself in front of the door. And, screamingly nervously, he knocks.

I just have to give this to him. Just five minutes of his time, and then I can leave. He doesn't have to talk to me.

Even if all he wants from Helios is his forgiveness.]

[ Helios wasn't expecting visitors today. Well, actually, Helios hardly expects visitors ever. That was usually Frederic's expertise--having people over for lessons and what not. So the knock on the door is a surprising welcome. After everything that's happened, between Giles and Frederic perhaps a light chat with someone would do him good.

He wasn't however expecting the scientist to wind up at his door when he opened it. He stifled a gasp and his expression was immediately apologetic, awkward even. It had been a month since they last spoken and Helios really hadn't meant for it to go on that long. It just...did, and now he was confronted with the young man whom he considered a very good friend and yet hadn't spoken to in a rather long time. ] R-Robert...

[ He'll blink remembering himself and his manners. Stepping to the side Helios will motion for the other to come in. ] Come in. [ Even after everything he still frets about you Robert, even if it seems like he hates you. ]

[Ginia briskly walks to apartment 22 with trepidation in her gut. She can hope for the best and prepare for the worst, but with them, the worst can be many things. Ripper. "Helios' power". There could be a many great thing wrong today and Ginia wants none of them to happen.

She knocks on the door, realizes maybe she should have brought some cookies with her, though that would have been far too suspicious and it's too late now, puts on her best friendly smile, and waits.]

[ There is a knock on the door and Helios startles from his position reading on the couch. He thought reading would get his mind off of things. It had...for a little while. Last night actually happened then. If the wounds weren't evidence enough than the thoughts racing through his head would be. He just hoped Giles would...come back on his own. Come back and sleep in the apartment again and they could forget this ever happened. But the acts of last night left him beyond exhausted and beyond hearing if Giles had truly came back. So he was left in the dark and he'd just have to wait until the other came back.

He'll get up shakily straightening himself as much as possible. The swollen bruise on his cheek was apparent but he couldn't just...leave whoever was there waiting. He winced as a cold hand glided over his cheek and he started for the door. ] Wh-who is it?

[ He manages to keep his voice level without betraying anything. ]

[All the intention to contact Helios is there, but after her conversation with Giles, Ginia's left thinking a little.

She should have been there. Tried harder. Or maybe checked up on him sooner, done something. Anything.

What do you say to a friend after those thoughts?

Oh yes, that's right.]

[ All of the intention to contact Ginia is there too. He just...hasn't done it yet and part of him is terrified to do so. Part of him is very much terrified to do so because everytime he thinks about it he sees Alice, on the floor, bloodied and beaten and he isn't helping. God he isn't helping at all.

He wants to make it right again. He just wants to make things so that the Malnosso don't ruin it between the three of them. As he was so eager to walk out of both her and Giles' lives just the other day. And then he goes to his journal and gets her message his stomach drops and his breath catches in his throat.

His good hand shakes as he grips the pen tightly in hand not sure if his writing will be legible or not. But he will try and the significant pause between her message and his reply is telling that something isn't right. ]

Hello.

[Voice, December 21st]

['...All right, here goes nothing. I feel like a telemarketer. Except in reverse, cause I'm not even trying to offer anything. Well, that's great.']

...Excuse me, but is this Helios?

[ Hold on one moment Kyon. There is some banging in the background as a chair is pushed along the floor and someone might just knock into their desk. There's a muffled hiss of pain as Helios finally picks up the journal. He was busy with something, okay?! ]

Y-Yes! This, this is Helios. H-How can I help you?

Being ordinary is extraordinary...

[She thinks this over for a few moments.]

I guess that's one way of thinking about it...It's kind of hard, though. I mean, back home no one could do this kinda stuff, so it's still like, totally wild to me.

I can only imagine. I do, you know, sometimes wonder what it's like to not have well...magic! It's quite the same in those regards. You find it interesting to see and have magic and I bet many of us would find it interesting to not have it.

[ Only some people. Most magicians weren't really fond of the normal non-magical population of Earth. But Helios has been humbled and knows a good friend or two who is exactly that, a person with no magic. ]

[The last few days have been nothing short of surreal. Sometimes Ginia wonders if this is some act of the Malnosso, some sort of twist right after such happy moments, a reminder that there is always another side to things, that happiness and peace of mind is a fleeting sort of thing.

Watching the three closest people to her unhappy for reasons unknown is a frightening thing. No, not reasons unknown; she knows a cause, but she can't find a reason behind the cause.

There is at least one thing she can do.

She knocks on the door to Helios' room.]

Helios? Are you in?

[ Unhappy and confused. So incredibly confused and pacing. Helios was pacing in his room at that very moment; his mind being clouded with the uncertainties and sheer desperation that this was causing.

Did he do something wrong? Was he...was he really getting in the way? Was he the reason behind all of this, and the Malnosso just the catalyst? The true feelings perhaps being overblown and made more apparent. Maybe he was, maybe Giles was actually mad at him for what he did on the sixteenth of for what happened during his party. He couldn't blame the other, the house was big yes, but Helios always had the perchance of ruining things. He winced hearing Nero's words of, "You ruin the lives of most people you get close with. Elise was probably just the first," ring through his head.

He'll bite his lip jumping as he hears the knock upon his door and then the familiar voice of Ginia. He looks confused at the door unsure whether to open it or not. If Giles was upset with him Ginia surely would be too...

But, no, it didn't seem like that. She was actually talking to him. He mumbles her name more to himself. ] Ginia? [ A blink and then a shake of his head as he makes to go open the door of his room. ] Y-Yes I-I'm here. J-Just a m-moment.

Despite the reassurances, Fenimore remains a little wary. The dragons in her world are entirely unfriendly, so saying that he's one of the nicest she will meet doesn't mean a lot -- though the docile part helps. ] It wouldn't take much.

What do you mean, you made him from snow? It's moving -- snow doesn't do that!

[ The three year old in her arms is wiggling now, saying, "I want down!" She isn't worried about the dragon, which makes Fenimore think she probably needs a few more lessons in danger avoidance. ]

Ah w-well there's an enchantment I know that, um, c-can make things like this come to life! Which is why he's not going to hurt you. Funny thing, enchantments of this kind, a part of the enchanter goes into the creation so I think he has a bit of my disposition. [ And Helios smiles back at Fenimore and Sophie. ]

He wouldn't hurt a fly. [ And as if to agree the dragon nods and takes another step towards Sophie who seems ever so excited. ]

[Home. It was good being home again. Even if there were so many things she'd seen outside the compound on the mission and she had so many stories to share with people, the familiarity of Luceti was nice. It was late when Ginia arrived back in Luceti near the tunnel entrance, making a single stop at the grocery store to pick up some cookies and treats for her housemates, before heading home.

Physically, she wasn't too bad off. One shoulder was a little strained, nothing that couldn't be fixed with rest and a long soak, and she had a few new cuts and bruises, but she was okay. She was also fairly exhausted from little sleep and a constant state of awareness, but again, some rest would fix all that.

She unlocked the door to House 44 and took a moment to look around the warm, comfortable living room. She was really home again.]

Giles! Helios! Hey guys, I'm back!

[ Ginia might smell the cooking of doughnuts, pretzels and other confectionery goods today when she steps inside the house. Helios might just be napping on the couch in the living room with Odin curled up at the foot of the couch and Edna curled up on his stomach along with Orenji curled up at the top of the couch's spine. Yep he was totally reading, getting lots of reading done he was. He'll startled from his position and sit up abruptly. That gets an annoyed meow from Edna. And Odin perks up as well hearing the familiar voice of Ginia. ]

Ginia?! [ Sorry Edna but you get the couch to yourself as Helios gets up, putting the book on the coffee table as goes to greet the other. He is all smiles as he gets closer. ] You're back. W-Welcome back I mean! A-Are you hungry? Should-should I make you something?

[Action, February 1st] - Probably a placeholder for a while, but.

[It's very, very lonely changing back into a human without your girlfriend present.

And it's still a very tired Giles that goes looking for Helios in House 44 once he's gotten himself pulled together. He still feels quite twisted up, for reasons he can't quite manage to understand, and maybe talking out recent events might help. Talking helps. It's advice he gives to Helios all the time.

Now he just has to find it.]

[Voice] | February 1 | Sometime after the announcement...

[... The moment Robert gets time to himself after the announcement Ginia left, he picks up the journal and pings Helios.

Helios. If Robert is hurting then Helios surely must be hurting still more. Oh dear gods, Helios...

And so his voice message is short, and tight-throated, and whispery. It's raw, forced because his feelings are making it hard to speak.]

H-Helios...?

...

C-Can... can I... come over...?

[Voice]

[ When Helios gets that ping he almost has to force himself to answer it. He is just...a wreck. There's no 'I'm fine' to be uttered this time and there's no masking of his emotions.

Everyone who has stopped by today to receive their letter has and it's so very hard to even answer Robert. But, no, he can't just ignore the other. Not with what they're dealing with. Not today. ] Oh. Robert...if-if you wish to.

[ He sounds so very sad, tired, alone. It's all very clear in his voice. Helios doesn't have it in him to really pretend right now though. ] I-I wouldn't mind if you did.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to take part in your weekend event, after all. Kain and I have been contacted about a mission, and think it wise to accept. Given the timing, I'm sure you'll see why. Good luck and have fun with it, though!

[Strange. Alice woke up in the hammock set up in the training room and looked around. Things were peaceful, good, nice and quiet even. There was no reason for her to be out. She slipped out of the hammock - almost falling out in the process - and gave a long stretch, letting all the kinks in her back pop out. Spotting Ginia's necklace sitting on a book, she slipped it on then left the room to see if anyone else was around the house. Someone had to have answers, right?]

[ Helios is home today making himself so tea and pancakes. It's a nice enough day, peaceful, quiet, good. It's been a rough few weeks for everyone in the house Ginia especially. And he's...feeling surprisingly good today despite all that. He misses the fact he doesn't have cold skin and with Valentine's Day just around the corner he knows the Malnosso are planning something...

Still if Alice walks by the kitchen she'll hear the humming and bustling of one derpy headmaster in the kitchen. And you can't resist the smell of those pancakes, eggs and maybe even some bacon. A delicious breakfast for a nice Sunday morning. ]

[ There's a cough on his end. Oh! Ginia! Helios still sounds rather out of it but you know his fever at least broke. ] Y-Yes. It's...it's fantastic. I-I can't believe this is actually happening.

[ So many worlds to see and visit... ]

[Voice...?] | February 24 | After the ice storm! o/`

[Guess who's worried about you, Helios? Even though Robert was more concerned about keeping Don and Leo safe during the power surges, he's still worried about Helios, who kept going outside and putting himself in harm's way.

And so, sometime in the morning, Helios will get this little ping over the journal -]

... Are you quite alright, Helios? You were... taxing yourself overly much, I think...

[That's the problem with Helios. He's always helping everybody else, and never helps himself when he needs it...]

[ Helios felt...well he felt like utter rubbish. He was sick, so very sick right now. He almost doesn't get Robert's message and he stirs from his sleep beneath those covers to answer that voice message.

His reply will come up in shaky writing. ] Robert? Oh, yes. I'm...I'm all right.

[ Lies. He is a liar and should probably not be doing so right now. ] How are you and Leonardo and Donatello doing?

[Voice | March 15th]

[She's did it. She finally did it. She has a written agreement from the MAlnosso stating the auto-repair will be placed on the Maia Alycon Volturnus, and once she returns home, there'll be a dragon egg waiting in her room. Ginia hurries home, quite excited to share the good news with Helios and allay him of his concerns. There are still more things she needs to get from missions, but she can take a break.

He's not at home. Not surprising as she knows he's busy, but Ginia still feels a little disappointed. Oh well. It gives her to check on the egg, wash up, and get a snack before opening up her journal to catch up on the latest.

The first thing she sees is Grune being taken by the droids and it's like a knife into the heart. No. Grune. Why Grune? Why Grune? She's speechless for a few minutes, angry, frustrated, and it takes all she has to turn away from it and compose herself.

After a few more cups of tea and calming herself down, she pulls up Helios' name to send him a message.]

Hey, Helios. I'm back.

[ Helios was out on the look out for any new feathers who happened to drop in. But he forgoes that for the sake of seeing Grune being taken over the journals and he knows he's not going to get there in time but he has to...he has to at least try. And so with some mild defeat in his voice when Ginia's voice comes over his journal he stops dead in his wandering through the woods just outside of town. ]

Ginia? Y-You're back? I-I didn't realize you were coming back so soon. I-I apologize for not being at the house! [ His tone is dour and she can probably tell he heard what happened to Grune. ]

[ Don't mind the fumbling and banging around on his end. He's just going to pretend he was preoccupied with something. Nevermind the wounds he's incurred from Drusilla's attack. He might sound fatigued when he replies. ]

Archie? Is s-something wrong?

[Action, March 10th]

[...What a week. All things considered, Ginia knows she came out pretty well from it. While her memories hadn't changed much, there were some alterations and additions. Things that were already beginning to slip from her mind, but they felt nice. What she did know was Helios was the one that had been affected. She owed him a conversation, making sure he was okay.

Unfortunately, with some appointments and promises to keep on Monday, she's not really back around until Tuesday. She drags herself out of bed, careful not to pull her stitches. Between everyone's attention, it's getting better. It'll still be a few more weeks until she's off crutches and she knows she needs to take it easy, but she's feeling better. After a careful shower, and a change of clothes, she goes downstairs to make breakfast and feed the pets. With any luck, Helios will be around and they can talk.

On the plus side, she remembers the visit back to his world, and all the pictures and recordings are back on her phone now. One way or another, she'll find a way for him to be able to keep them.]

[ Affected would be putting it mildly. There was such a drastic change in him. Changes that he was rapidly forgetting by the second but the feelings they left were still there if only as ghosts and faint memories. But he would pull through he knew he will.

He remembered his time back at home and that made him...homesick a little. It's been two years after all and nothing seemed to have changed at all when he returned. Ra was still the same the castle, his students, everything was the same. And no one knew...and even if they did no one would remember it anyway. Helios will be in the kitchen, having just woken up, showered, and gotten dressed himself he'll be feeding Luminair and the dragon is the one to notice Ginia first. It'll let out a tiny cry, happy in tone and far too endearing for Helios to ignore. ] No more Luminair you've had quite enough for no- [ he'll look up to see Ginia as she enters the kitchen. ] -oh! G-Ginia good morning. Have a good sleep I hope?
