[Ginia's reply is a soft, but firm whisper as she draws back to look at him, her expression apologetic for surprising him, but not apologizing for the hug.]

M-maybe the Malnosso did something. They only grabbed me for a few hours, it's possible they could have taken him for a short period of time. It's... it's...

[It's one of the easiest explanations she can think of for why he's acting the way he is. The second reason is someone might have done something to him, but how? Why? Who would be against him so much to want to destroy his relationships with some of the people closest to him?]

Let's... let's go for a walk. [Maybe getting out of the house will do them both some good.]

[ Helios hunches even more at those words. Done nothing wrong...and it's all the Malnosso's fault? He bites his lip not saying a word. ] But that time I-I barged in on you two a-and I-I just sh-should say sorry. I-I didn't think he was mad, he didn't seem mad.

[ But no. Maybe he was jumping to conclusions too quickly so a shaky sigh escapes him before he nods. Malnosso, right. ] It's just like that one time before. But this is so much worse. [ Perhaps they didn't get the results that they needed. ]

W-walk, yes of course. [ Right now? Right now Helios doesn't mind getting out of the house. He's spent far too much time cooped up thinking about the unpleasantness of this whole scenario to even give the offer a second thought. ]

Sure, it was a little embarrassing, more so because it was recorded, but it's hardly the first time that's happened in my life. I hardly think Giles would be angry over that. I'm certainly not. [She also had the hunch it wouldn't be the first time either. Helios was an excitable sort and he couldn't be faulted for that. It was quite endearing in a way.]

I'm sorry. I wish I could help. He's even ignoring Grune and so... Anxious in general. [A small sigh.]

Cold, but not a bad day to get out. Very pretty right now. Um, mind if Odin comes along?

Still his expression doesn't change as he nods. ] It has to be them...the change it's, it's too sudden. O-Or maybe...I-I don't know anyone who has this sort of power.

[ He gives a brief glance back into his room where papers and books are strewn about his bed and laying in piles on his floor, and then he simply shrugs. ] I was trying to do some research on it but I...I couldn't find anything. [ His voice is low and melancholy as he just sighs. ]

And no, no, not at all Odin is free to join us.

Forgiven, though you didn't need to apologize, and he's right; I do understand. [She sighs, rubs at the back of her neck.] Or if someone had such power, why? What could they gain from this? [Besides everyone's misery after what's been such a good time.]

Maybe we can research things together at a later time. Fresh pair of eyes and all. But for now... [She tries to offer what she hopes is a reassuring smile.] Let's go get some fresh air. It's, um, snowing again. Very pretty.

N-No I do. I did n-need to. It's, it's everyone's place now and I-I should have been more conscientious about that s-sort of thing. [ He makes to go and rub his arm but stops. Apologizing to Nero every time he hurt him is where the act stems from, but it's easy enough to push out of his mind. ] I don't know who would w-want to.

[ Too many people in the village to outright ask and then there was whole matter of getting too many people involved. But several of the people that readily come to mind have been sent home. It doesn't make any sense. It was fine, he'll be alright because Giles could very well get better at some point.

Helios blinks looking out towards the window in the hallway. ] It is?

((ooc; Derp. I was looking at the wrong calendar. It wasn't snowing on the 28th, but who isn't to say there weren't a few flakes falling on and off? However, there's plenty of snow left from the 24th and 25th.))

[She nods, also glancing at the window. So much snow. Some part of her still feels a sense of melancholy over the sight of snow, but she can't deny how beautiful a snow-covered village looks, all peaceful and calm. It'd been a beautiful Christmas.]

A nice fresh layer. It's been on and off, but it's... nice to see. A pity the Christmas lights aren't still up.

I-I know it is. I just...wanted to make sure. [ A pout. He follows Ginia's stare though and manages a small smile. ]

They would have been lovely to see against the freshly fallen snow. Don't you hate it when Christmas ends so suddenly? Never was a fan, always thought Christmas should be a year round holiday, really. [ There's a half hearted smirk and it's short lived at best as Helios finally removed himself from his room but not before getting his coat and gloves. ]

Here and gone in a flash. On the bright side, we didn't have to deal with taking down the Christmas lights. [Or mistletoe, though they did their job hacking it down whenever a new sprig popped up.] I bet there's a place where Christmas does exist year round. Must be a very festive sort of place.

Yes, let's. [The two walk down the stairs, Ginia grabbing her own coat and gloves off the coat rack. She whistles for Odin, the dog galloping over from the kitchen and giving a happy bark, then galloping off into the snow the moment the door opens.]

Spry thing. Despite his age, he's a giant, lovable puppy.

That's always the depressing part. Cleaning up all the decorations. [ He has a child-like glee about him at that idea. ] Oh you think so? That sounds rather marvelous! I wouldn't mind visiting a world like that in the slightest.

[ He follows waiting for Odin to show and when Ginia says that he laughs. Watching the dog enjoy his time in the snow white snow. Each gallop and bound making deep groves in the otherwise pristine smooth surface in the sea of sparkling white. ] He certainly is. It reminds me of this one dog we used to pass by on our way home from school. [ He pauses looking thoughtful. ]

Baxter I think was his name. He was quite loveable...always knew when something was wrong. [ Always knew when it came to Helios at least. ]

It is. Taking them down, putting them away... [She chuckles as she remembers something.] I used to live in this apartment complex and someone had lights decorating their balcony year-round. Different colored lights for the different holidays. Even had little pineapple tree lights for the summer. Sorry, that just came to me. But a Christmas world or land... that would be fun.

[Ginia watches her dog bound off, leaving ruts as he races across the lawn, but oh, let the boy have his fun.]

Dogs are smart like that. Dependable and loyal.

I usually had Ra take down the lights and the phantoms helped with the higher hanging decorations. It's a bit easier using magic though. [ Helios laughs. ] Pineapples, really?

They most certainly are. I love cats and dogs equally so. [ He shrugs. ] Odin is quite the lively one. I-I used to take in strays rather a lot. I-I know I shouldn't have but it gets so cold in Hunedoara.

It seems many things are easier with magic. [A light laugh.] Yes, pineapples. Quirky, but a nice sort of thing.

Odin is very lively. It's a good thing we have a bigger house now, I was afraid he'd tear up the apartment. Davenport can get pretty cold too, but I lived in a small apartment with my family. Despite my numerous attempts at sneaking strays in, we simply didn't have the space or time for them.

Only a few things, really. Most of them being physically attributed. [ Socially it makes things harder in his world at least. And then there's the mistakes that are made when it comes to using it... ]

Davenport...Davenport. It looked like a lovely place when I saw it with-with Alice. [ Despite the things she told him about. ] But well it's the thought that counts you know? Can you imagine us taking in all the strays at Luceti? [ Helios laughs. ] It's a good thing none of us are allergic to cats or dogs!

Davenport is lovely in certain ways. [She sighs, fondly and sadly. Even if this strange little world has become more of a home due to all the wonderful people around, there's still a spot in her heart for Davenport. One can't forget the place they grew up in so easily. The city set the foundation for her life, gave her form and shape.] There were many charming things about it.

We could run our own adoption agency. [She laughs as well, imagining the unused bedrooms as sleeping and playrooms for all the cats and dogs and who knows what else they could take in.] I don't think Giles would be very pleased if we did that.

I think every place has a certain inherent beauty to it. M-More thoroughly seen when, when you've spent awhile there. Sometimes you have give the place you grew up credit. It is the place where we got our foundation. [ There's a...very sad smile on Helios' face as he speaks those words. Almost as if he doesn't believe them himself. Romania the castle...they shaped him but he wasn't surrounded by the caring and nurturing people throughout most of his childhood. Still he turned out alright. ]

You think he wouldn't? I don't know having something like that might actually be fun and helpful. Doggy and cat sit for people while they're away. [ There's an ever apparent smirk on his lips as he says that jokingly. ]

The places we come from have a way of shaping us. The people we grow up around too. [She may have a loving circle of friends, family even, in Luceti, but they will never replace the one she was born with.]

No, I think you're right. He likes animals too. I imagine him sighing, removing his glasses to give them a good clean, and shaking his head before relenting. But petsitting! That would be fun. I'm sure it'd take some stress of people's minds. [She smirks as well, also joking along, but don't many of their jokes and teasing become reality in one way or another? ~~like those aprons~~]

The people we grow up around...yes. [ He doesn't sound particular happy while saying that. Actually he doesn't at all and his head is downcast as he continues to walk. Barring a few friends here or there Luceti is the closest he's ever gotten to having true friends and perhaps even a family.

Still Helios can't help but chuckle at the image. ]

He probably would, wouldn't he? I know! It wouldn't even require too much on our part. I-I mean what with having three of us here to switch off and all. We could take shifts if we ever got anyone who required it. Besides I'm sure Odin wouldn't mind having some more canine companions, isn't that right? [ He'll look for the said dog in question with a wry smirk. ]

[Ginia glances over at him, quest questions popping up again. It's not the first time she's heard him sound like that and it makes her worry. However, it's not something she knows how to broach either.]

I'm sure some of our friends wouldn't mind helping out either. And no, Odin, probably wouldn't mind some canine companions. All the cats have him running for cover.

[She laughs lightly as some feet away, Odin barks at them, then flops down to roll around in the snow, becoming suitably covered in white.]

[ He'll push it aside like it's nothing; he's used to never discussing it but maybe...maybe he should and maybe he will eventually. He never mentions Nero and he's not sure if his paranoia is justified. But gods the fact that Nero could be sent here gets an involuntary shiver out of him. ]

I-I think Grune would be wonderful for helping out with it to be honest. [ Daw Odin you are just the biggest puppy ever. ]

I agree, and I know she'd agree if we asked her too. Who else should we ask? [Yes, he is. Such a good, giant, one-eyed puppy. Odin hops to his feet and shakes, snow flying off him before he trots off to explore a bit more.]

Who else, who else. Perhaps...Robert, maybe? [ Hmm. Who seems like a cat person. ]

I'm not entirely sure on people's preferences towards cats and dogs. There's a very big gap between the two for some reason. I like them both equally to be honest. They both have their quirks and personalities after all.

I think Robert would be a good choice. How about Link?

I've always liked cats and dogs equally as well. I suppose it depends on the quirks and personalities you like. Then you have those that like birds, reptiles, rodents, and/or fish. A pet-type for everyone.

Link would be wonderful to have as well! And perhaps we can ask over the journals for anyone else interested. [ This will be the best plan ever. ]

How do you think Giles would take to a pet dragon? [ He is so teasing with that question but not really. A pet dragon would be cool. Dragons are cool. ]

I think we should. We'd have to do a bit of screening, make sure no one would hurt any animals, but I think it's a great it.

I think Giles would take wonderfully to a pet dragon. Not an issue at all. [Mostly because Giles wouldn't get a say. Dragons are very awesome. Who wouldn't want a pet dragon?]
