[ He is biting his lip on his end. The will to write out what he needs to is fleeting and he finds himself hesitating. ]
The mask. I was so alone and in pain and I just. I couldn't fight it. And then I-I ran into Alice... [ His writing stops for several long drawn out seconds it seems. ]
I'm so sorry and I understand if, if you don't want to associate yourself with me anymore. I'm sorry for everything you're going through and I know words written or spoken won't take away the pain. I told Giles I wouldn't leave the apartment building but...but if you want me to then I will.
[ He'll apologize to Giles later if at all possible. He doesn't expect her to forgive him and he doesn't want to come between her or Giles either. ]

She closes her eyes and thinks. It's just as she told Giles. It was the mask, not him. The mask and the Malnosso, and that applies here too. She knows it does. It's Helios, who has never been any less than kind and helpful to her and someone she respects and greatly cares about as a friend. Helios, who would never hurt anyone intentionally.
It's strange. She wasn't there. She has the injuries, but she wasn't there and thus can't judge the actual situation. All she has is the aftermath, his apology, and her own fear.
Good, fear. An emotion that can do so much. She's not so much afraid of Helios, but rather what he can do. When you're a human with a knife, there's much you can do against someone who can throw up barriers and shoot fireballs.
But it's Helios. Helios. He'd never act that way under normal circumstances. It was the mask making him act that way. Just as the mask had turned her into a ghost. How the other mask brought Alice out every evening. Ginia keeps reminding herself of that, forces herself to remember.]
It was the mask. Not you. Don't leave the building, Helios. Please. If Giles wants you to stay, I want you to stay.

I want to help. In, in any way you'll allow me to. [ But he'll understand if she doesn't want it not right now at least. ] I'm so sorry.

I now feel utterly selfish asking, but can you do anything for my wing?
no subject
It's not. God you're not selfish for asking at all. [ a pause. ] I...I can try to do something. [ He's never healed a wing, thankfully, yet but he'll try his hardest to help. ]

[Some part of her realizes she's probably insane for accepting what happened to easily. She's cut others out of her life for lesser reasons and nearly being killed isn't something so lightly. But things happen out of their control. Wasn't that why she promised Giles to stop him if he ever came back a vampire?
It's Helios. One of the best friends she's had in a long time. Maybe there's some selfishness, but she's not so inclined to throw a good friendship away.
And maybe she's just tired of everything. Fighting, waiting nervously for the other to come back from their death penalty, picking people up after someone else leaves... she's tired. There's no more energy to hold anything against anyone.]
It is selfish. I was going to contact you to check up on you, but I wanted to see if you could do anything too. Utterly selfish reasons. And I'm still not saying no because I'm tired of this clinic.

Helios doesn't think it selfish, not at all, if only because of his own drowning guilt about the whole thing. ]
I can come by now then if you want?

This might just get him to do so. ]

All right. I'll be here then. Thank you, Helios.
Once I'm back on my feet, we should have dinner. I'm sorry for delaying that.
no subject
And it's technically my fault for it being delayed. Or-or the Malnosso whichever you prefer to blame. [ He still feels bad can't you tell? ]

Take care, Helios.

Thank you Ginia. For-for everything. [ For not hating or blaming him even if he still blames himself and probably will for awhile. But this will help somehow. Things will get back to normal because they have to. ]
