This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Helios anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

[Best be prepared, Helios.][And, indeed, Helios will find Giles sitting on the front steps of House 7 when he finally does arrive, a duffel bag on the steps beside him.]

Yes of course. I'll be there soon. [ And Helios is. Granted his prepared is a simple folder, book, piece of chalk and a knife, but still he brought the works. He'll look around at the area well this is better than the previous time they met at a house at least. ]

You've brought your own supplies I see.

[Giles starts slightly when he hears Helios' voice - possibly a sign in and of itself that something is off, as he's gotten good at recognizing Helios' approach.]

Oh, um, Helios. Hello. Thank you for coming.

[Giles glances at the duffel bag and shrugs.]

These are from the spell I cast yesterday. I thought you should see what you'll be working with.

Ah, yes, of course. I can probably add onto your own. Depending on what types you've already put into effect.

[ He'll be walking over now, Giles. Still curious and still glancing at that duffel bag. ]

[The most notable thing in the half open bag are several jars of colored sand. Other than that, there's the personal journal, a few weapons, a few sticks of chalk.]

A warning spell. Good for any sort of monster with power equitable to a god's.

I was wondering if you could manage something a bit more...substantial.

I've kept out powerful things like that at the school before. So, it shouldn't be much of a stretch.

Though the warning part of it was usually done by the phantoms that live in the castle. [ Too bad they weren't here with him. ]

But a warning spell, yes, I can definately work with that.

Well, I've provided the warning. The spell will work for one warning only, but it will work. It extends around the perimeter of the house for a little less than ten feet.

It's best if it's...specific barrier. She doesn't need everyone kept away. She just need this person stopped, or at least delayed, if at all possible, and I'm not powerful enough for that.

I can definately make it so only one person cannot enter. It's a rather flexible spell, has to be, incoming and outgoing students after all. Can't have them running into a solid slightly shocking wall now can we?

[ He knows he shouldn't be laughing but still a small chuckle. ]

Not to worry Giles, I think I can muster up something.

That could probably dampen attendance, yes.

Thank you, Helios. Is there anything in particular you would need?

It certainly could. I don't think my teachers would complain much.

[ Anything? Anything at all Giles? ] Perhaps some cake and tea afterwards. [ So teasing with that reply. Though honestly he wouldn't mind either way. ]

Otherwise I have everything I need thank you.

[Anything at all.] We'll stop by the bakery on the way home, then.

And if you wouldn't mind explaining this spell to Buffy either before or after, I would appreciate it, Helios.

[ Yess Giles you just made his day. ] Stopping by the bakery, yes, that sounds like a decent course of action. [ Of course it does. He's like addicted. ]

I'll be sure to do so. You know I never thought this spell of mine would be getting so much use. I mean back home the council never even asked about it.

[ Hm. ] Not that I mind in the least! By the time I'm done here I'll have the circle completely memorized. Perhaps I can change and add a few things to it as well.

Actually, Helios, we would...appreciate it if you modified the warning spell as little as possible.

Buffy mistrusts magic under the best of circumstances, and so do I, but this is one spell we know works and one that she's willing to depend on.

Ah, of course. That's not a problem. [ He understands. ] I was simply going to add a...distant warning item she can keep on her person. So if she isn't there she'll be notified either way if the danger presents itself.

Like a coin or some inconspicuous. Make it that it will glow or vibrate or both. [ He is thinking about this. ]

...that's an idea, actually. The warning spell is meant to alert friendly parties inside the residence, but it's not as though it can distinguish who's there and who isn't at the time.

Propose the idea to her, then. Seeing as how Buffy spends most nights on patrol, I can't see her objecting. But, best to be safe.
