This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Helios anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

[Even if it's addressed at Helios, Fenimore's own contribution is instantaneous.] No.

[ Helios startles looking back at Fenimore and then Sophie apologetically. ] Oh! I'm not sure if it's all right. I could make her a small one to carry around for the day, perhaps? They're entirely harmless as you've seen.

[ Aw he'd love to make Sophie a miniature little dragon or unicorn to take around. ]

[ The idea of a smaller one -- and, especially, that it might be just a day -- de-bristles Fenimore somewhat. ] Well...I guess that might be okay.

[Except now Sophie isn't so happy with the idea. "But I wanna ride." She can't exactly rule the skies, or at least the pathways if it can't fly, from atop a small dragon, can she?]

[ Helios thinks about this for a few moments. Two conflicting answers...there has to be a resolution somewhere. ] Ah. Would you be opposed if I rode with her? I promise nothing will happen, on my life I swear. We'll only go around the immediate vicinity- [ Helios motions with his arms to the plaza itself. ] -or if you'd like you can go with her. Kuroakami can definitely holy you both, no worries about that. But if not I completely understand.

[ It's a gamble and if Fenimore says no he'll oblige her request and simply make Sophie a tiny little pet snow dragon for the day. Either way it's up to her and he'll take no offense to it in the slightest. ]

[ Fenimore doesn't reply right away, even when Sophie runs over to pull on her dress with a "Please, Fenfen!" She would rather Sophie stayed on the ground and she would really rather stay on the ground herself. But...hmm. It did seem like the dragon was safe to at least be near, and looked reasonably safe to ride.

She could deligate this task to this man, but...she probably should do it herself. She didn't even know him (though if she had bothered to get his name, she would recognize him from being talked about by Grune...who may not be the best judge of character, but probably had identified his friendship with Giles who seemed a bit more reliable.

...She sighs a little as she relents.] I should probably go with her.

[Which elicits a cheer from Sophie.]

[ Helios respects and honors that decision so when it's finally made clear that it's alright he motions for the dragon to lay down. It'll still curiously be watching Fenimore and Sophie and it might offer its claw as a crude stepping stool to use to get onto its back.

Helios turns to Sophie with a beaming smile. ]

Up you go! Once around the plaza should be good enough! How excited you must be. I never got to ride a dragon before in my life. [ Well no true entirely but the magic and sheer excitement of the current occasion should left for Sophie to have. It's probably a once in a lifetime opportunity after all. ]

[Fenimore is less than comforted as she takes his words at face value. Does that mean he doesn't know if it is safe...? But, with Sophie pretty much starry-eyed at this opportunity, she'll hold back her questions on that and just follow behind Sophie.

Sophie does pause a moment at Helios saying that he's never ridden a dragon, but then she just nods as though coming to a decision. "You go after me." That way, he'll get to ride this one! But after she is finished, because she has no further patience. She scampers up the offered claw, with some help from Fenimore holding onto her back.]

[ Helios cannot help but smiles and laugh lightly as he watches Sophie's unbridled enthusiasm. He'll walk over with the two off them offering up any assistance that might be needed. ] Up you go! And just around the plaza, hm?

[ He's talking to the snow dragon which gives an affirmative nod of its head before its wings stretch out. ]

W-w-- [Many words beginning with w are coming to mind, such as "woah" and "wait," but she knows she's not going to be any more ready than she is now, though she trying to find any way to make this a better grip.

Sophie also has a w-word: "wheee!" She raises her arms, but Fenimore pushes them back down.]
