[Oops, rambling again. Ginia stops and looks down for a moment. Of course they'll be there to help him. It's what friends do right? Be there for each other unconditionally?
She's kicking herself for not being there for Helios last night.]
/We'll have to get some treats from the bakery. Or have a nice dinner when he's back. Or both.
...Helios? Has Giles said anything about...us? Me and him, I mean./
no subject
Both sounds like a wonderful idea. I-I was going to go to the bakery to get him some things when he, he returned anyway. [ Helios tilts his head to the side. Looking at Ginia curiously. ]
No. He hasn't. [ But he can kinda glean on where this is going. A smile starts to spread on his lips anyway. ]
no subject
/I can handle dinner? Though we didn't do dinner for you. That seems unfair now./ [She purses her lips in thought over the situation. A belated dinner of everyone being better and getting through another event?] /Maybe it can be a dinner for the both of you. Is that fair?/
[He hadn't? Ginia balks a little. It's harder admitting these things in person. Writing it is one thing, but saying it to someone else, a mutual friend, that's harder. Ginia waffles a bit more before she finally signs it all out in a rush.]
/Giles and I have been dating since the end of the last experiment./
no subject
[ He goes to wave with his bad hand and he stops using the other one. Stupid absentmindedness. ] Dinner sounds lovely though. It'll be nice.
Oh? You two sure do know how to cover up your tracks. [ Helios smiles widely. ] That's wonderful Ginia.
no subject
[Ginia catches herself again, noting how he quickly switched hands. Hmm...] /I hope so. Our last dinner was quite nice. It was good having everyone together./
[There's a small laugh and a wave of her hand, Ginia blushing slightly.] /We're taking it slow. You... approve?/
no subject
[ Helios nods smiling still. ] It was nice, very nice. It doesn't happen nearly enough really.
[ Helios blinks almost taken aback by the question. ] Ginia you hardly need my approval for such a thing. You and Giles...you're both happy aren't you? That's the only approval you really need.
no subject
/Then let's have dinner after he's back. A day or two after at least, give him some time to settle back in./ [Assuming they're all still here and he hasn't forgotten them.]
/We... yes, we're happy. I mean, I don't want to speak for him, but he does seem happy. But it's not strange? I did only meet him in July. And I know he's much older than me. But I care about him. I... I love him./
no subject
And he nods at the suggestion. ] Yes a little time to settle is best. E-especially with, with the slight effects one can come back with. But, ah, I-I'm sure he'll come back fine. [ Optimism he has it in bucket loads. ]
Strange? In this place? I don't think strange can really be applied to people in this place Ginia. We're all just a bit strange aren't we, when you think about it. I-I think it'll be good for him and you. I think you two will be very good for one another. [ He blinks and smiles. ]
Ah, but that was p-probably and bit presumptuous of me to say wasn't it? My apologies. [ A sad smile. ] But if you're in love? It doesn't really matter.
no subject
And sometimes those bucket loads of optimism are appreciated when she's running low.] /I really hope so. I'll have to get lots of tea ready for his return./
[Ginia glances at him, surprised by his words, but in a good way. She knows she doesn't need anyone's approval, but with Helios being both of their friends and especially Giles' closest friend, that assurance is nice.] /Presumptuous? No, I don't think so. Giles has done so much for me ever since the first day we met. He's been very good for me and I hope I can do the same for him. But it's nice being in love and being loved. Haven't felt that for a very long time./
[She shakes her head and laughs quietly, still blushing.]
/Look at me. I came here to check up on you and now I'm rambling again. Can I get you anything while I'm out here? Tea? Cookies?/
no subject
Despite everything that happened last night? He's surprised he even has any left. But, well, things can get better and they usually do. ]
It is nice, yes, very much so. I'm not sure any feeling in the world is quite like it. When you...find the one you're meant to be with, it's almost on a whole different level of feeling. [ His tone is a bit distant as he utters those words. He remembers finding Elise by way of luck or fate. The first time meeting your true light was an experience and feeling that nothing could equate to. He snaps out of his thoughts at Ginia's signs right in front of him. He moves to hold up both hands wincing again in pain with the action. He holds up only one. ]
It's really quite alright Ginia. I-I can make some later if need be. You don't have to do that. Thank you for the offer though.
no subject
[Ginia smiles a little as she listens to Helios, recognizing that tone of voice. Well, well. It's really not so surprising, but it is curious.] /I think it's a little too early for me to say Giles is the one, but I have felt a connection with him I've never had with anyone else./
/Of course. Maybe later?/ [Because she will keep an eye on him one way or another. And with Giles gone, it's no fun drinking tea alone.]
no subject
Well you have plenty of time to work it out between the two of you. Who knows, Luceti brings many a person from different worlds together. [ A shrug. ] But I'm happy for the both of you. [ They both certainly deserved it. A pause then nod. ]
And, yes. M-Maybe l-later. [ Probably not though. Or not until these wounds are gone or you drag him out of the apartment. ]
no subject
Time. Ginia's smile wavers slightly as she remembers Ripper's words. Things change so easily and she's loving a dead man. But no, if the amount of time is uncertain, then all they can do is make the best of it.] /Thank you, Helios, it's good to hear that from you./
[A nod, a strengthening of her smile. One way or another, she would continue to check up on him and make sure he wasn't pushing himself too much.] /Later then. I'll hold you to that./
[Her foot is pulled out of the doorway.]
no subject
[ He nods that smile still maintained. ] It's just the truth, really. But, oh dear, you're holding me to it? I best not disappoint then.
[ Probably not this week sadly. Maybe once everything was better once things evened out and went back to normal like they always did. He'll turn, probably done unconsciously and absentmindedly on his part, and if she's fast enough she'll catch the bruise. But otherwise? He'll go to close that door. ] D-Do be careful, Ginia. A-And use the journal, if, if you need anything. You can always contact me but you know that.
no subject
/Yes, I know, and you can always contact me as well.
Take care, Helios. Have a nice day./
no subject
[ Helios nods smile waning as he closes the door. ]
