ϡ - Chapter Thirty; Winter Wonderland antics [Voice|Action]
[ Good morning Luceti if you’re in town today, and probably in the surrounding areas as well, you’ll notice some large lumbering pure white figures walking about some might even be flying. No, no, they aren’t harmful in the least, although the creatures they take after might argue otherwise, and they are not yetis or other such things that come out in the thickest of snowfalls. What they however are the products of one derpy headmaster feeling the Christmas cheer thanks to the effects the Malnosso have put in place and him waking up very early in the morning after the snowfall last night to make said creatures. There will be various mythological snow creatures walking about today though none of them can make much noise or do much of anything, they’re pretty docile actually and if you wanted to you could probably even ride on top of them they won't mind, really! There will be a dragon with icicles for horns and teeth following Helios around as he makes his way into town. He’ll be there for a good portion of the day also making a majestic Griffin, and a snow unicorn. That’s not to say these are the only things that’ll be popping up. Other mythological creatures might be seen around as well. Phoenixes, mandrakes, minotaurs, kitsunes, Kodama in the more forested areas and even Nue. The list is really endless and well Helios has been having probably too much fun doing this. Some of them will be life sized, but nothing too extravagant or outlandish, lets say the tallest would be around ten or so feet tall, while others miniature. They’ll all be moving and just mulling about and you can be sure they’re movements are quite like the real things if you’ve ever encountered one.
They can be interacted with through the entire day with Helios sometimes in accompaniment. And later into the afternoon Helios will be found in the town square with his snowy dragon companion making your standard issued snowmen, each one getting their own complimentary hat, scarf, and pipe. He'll take a break and eventually pull out his journal for a short little network post. ]
Ah there's nothing like freshly fallen snow to make a good sturdy snowman out of, is there? I used to do it all the time back in Romania. I believe there was even a game that whoever had the best would have to make hot chocolate for everyone...with extra marshmallows. [ A thoughtful hum. ]
I was thinking...has Luceti ever had a snowman or ice sculpture competition? I've seen some extremely good ones around as of late. I think we could have a rather good turn out, quite the competition too, all in good fun though!
[ He may not be able to summon mythica into existence here, without the dangers of the side effects it would impose on his own world, but that doesn't mean he can't build them as an alternative! And because he just has to ask... ] Are there any creatures in your worlds that can control this element or are at least generally associated with it? Yuki-onna is one of the better known ones in mine. A tall and beautiful woman with black hair and blue lips. She's said to be quite cold, figuratively and literally, but she also has a more motherly and good side to her. The Snow Queen is another one, based on Yuki-onnas, and then there's even Jack Frost too. All are very similar in the fact that they deal with this element. And let's not forget Yetis, interesting beings yetis are. They have quite knowledge of mountaineering not that I expected any less of course.
[ He totally knows this from experience guys. Not like anyone is surprised anymore. ] I suppose Santa Claus can work too tis the season after all! I wonder if the people here had anyone like him? Ah, well, left to speculation at this point hm? I do hope everyone has a good holiday though, you can never get too into the spirit of things.
[ Albeit the Malnosso seem to fit that bill at times...but, no, he is not going to let the Malnosso ruin his Christmas not this year. Finally around later in the evening all the snow mythica will go back to being their snowy, sculptural selves, and can be found throughout the village in regal more natural poses. ]

[Action]
A bit of magic, of course. What else have you made?
I agree. Looks like we'll get a proper white Christmas this year. I bet everything looks beautiful.
[Action]
[ Helios has been rather busy since this morning. ] I'm sure you'll be able to take in the sights in no time. [ A frown. It is a shame that the effects haven't started to wear off yet. And yet having Ginia lose her voice...it's hard to say if it's fair or not to think like that. ]
[Action]
They sound wonderful, Helios. I'm sure everyone's enjoying the sight. And I admit this is lasting longer than I thought it would. Though... I can at least talk?
[Action]
[ Along with Malnosso intervention? Yeah, no, not a bad thing at all it's making for a wonderful airy feeling on pleasantness for Helios at least. But still some of the cheeriness will dissipate as Helios looks back at her. It's hard when you can't help someone you're close to. ]
You've probably been asked this a lot but...which do you prefer?
[Action]
You've met Santa?
[As for the other question, Ginia sighs a bit. Yes, she's been asked it several times, but it's a legimiate question.]
I'd rather be able to see.
[Action]
[ Helios is silent for a moment. Being blind is probably the worse of two evils but hopefully he'll be able to help give Ginia both without the added affects. ] Understandably. You have gone without speaking your entire life s-so I suppose it's only, only natural that you're accustomed to not doing so...
[ Soon that won't be the case, he hopes. ] Still ah, would you like to take a walk maybe? I was just finishing up and then heading off into town. [ To make more snowmen. ]
[Action]
[His words are true. There's comfort in the familiar and she's always been much more of a visual person. Hearing and sensing the world but not being able to see it is a scary sort of thing to her.] Pretty much. I'll... well, I guess I will miss speaking, but I've lived without it long enough. I'll be okay.
A walk sounds nice.
[Action]
[ Helios can't help but laugh at that. ] It doesn't seem fair in all honesty. Giving you something you've never had and then just...just- [ taking it away. A sigh. ]
But yes let's! It's a nice day out at least. And of course Odin can come along too. [ He gives the dog a smirk. ] He can protect us if there's anymore mythologies about.
[Action]
No, it isn't, but what's to be done? I'll live, Helios, really.
[Odin wags his tail and gives a sharp bark, approving of this idea.] Yes, it does seem like a nice day. Let's be off then. How many mythologies did you make?
[Action]
[ And off they shall be! Helios will laugh at Odin and then offer Ginia his arm very, very awkwardly. He is still not used to do this okay? But like heck if he's going to just let her...walk around blind, even with Odin to assist. ] I-If you need help I-I can um, w-walk with you. As for mythologies...I've...made a few. [ A lot. ]
[Action]
[Ginia takes his arm and holds it in a light gloved grip. It's a cold day, good for bundling up.]
It'd be quite appreciated. Back at the community building, I had the layout figured out and the area, but I'm having to readjust now that we've moved. I like all the space though.
[A small chuckle.] A few. Of course. What else did you make?
[Action]
[ Helios shifts stiffening initially at the closeness. And Helios is so not the person to bundle up with he's probably just as cold, if not colder, than the air outside. ] Ah y-yes that must be quite an adjustment actually. All the space as opposed to the lack thereof in the apartment.
It's funny...I've lived in that apartment for almost two years. It's different and yet having more space...I can't really complain. Having a castle has spoiled me! [ A small chuckle. Ah the castle ever in the back of his mind it is. He misses it and there's a slight faraway tone to his voice as he speaks about it. But at Ginia's next question Helios refocuses. ]
Some kodama, a few phoenixes, a griffin, a minotaur and a few other things. I've been spacing them throughout the day.
[Action]
While the apartments were nice, it's good being able to stretch out, especially with three pets. I think Odin likes having space to gallop about too, right boy?
[Odin barks again before galloping off after a squirrel.]
Nearly two years... a long time. [She can't help but give a small laugh.] I think living in a castle would spoil anyone. I'd... like to see it one day.
Very impressive. [A thought and a purse of her lips.] ...You are being careful? Not tiring yourself out or anything with all of this?
[Action]
[ Helios laughs at that affirmative bark. ] Yes it's strange thinking that I've been here for two years and in the same apartment. But I'd like to show you the castle. You, Giles, Frederic, Robert. It showed up back when the battle dome malfunctioned. I suppose if-if I knew how to work that blasted thing I could technically show you! [ Ah the library his library how he misses it.
He looks back at Ginia at those questions. He pouts. ] Of course I am. I'm perfectly fine. [ He is going to pass out tonight but it's for a good cause. ]
[Action]
I could always show you sometime. It's really quite easy. I've... I've been working on a few places from my world, actually.
[A question always worth asking around him.] I'll take your word this time, but don't push yourself too much. Not that I actually know how much you can, but don't.
[Action]
Have you? I would like to see them sometime. And you don't have to worry about me Ginia. But thank you for the concern.
[Action]
Sure. I still need to tweak some details here and there, but I don't mind showing you at all. And you're welcome. Honestly, you and Giles can be very concerning people. [Said not without affection and a teasing smile.
But really, she's getting grey hairs because of you two.]
[Action]
I wouldn't mind trying it some time with the castle but...if-if I only knew how. I-I might break something I fear. [ Helios stops in their walk to look at a phoenix gliding over head. ] Ah Phoenix. [ Right back to matters at hand. ]
And it's not as if we try to be. I-I certainly don't, don't mean to. Luceti makes things...difficult in those regards.
[Action] 1/2
[Action]
Like I said, I can show you. Really isn't that hard at all, it's a little fun actually. [Ginia stops and also glances up out of pure habit, even if she can't see anything. Such a pity.]
I know, I know. I can't say I stay out of trouble either. We seem to have a propensity for trouble, but I like you two all the same.
[Action]
It's a bit hard to do that in Luceti, stay out of trouble I mean. But barring experiments we haven't been so bad for the month. [ Which is amazing for them apparently and that's the sad part. ]
[Action]
[Action]
It does make you wonder if they ever celebrate on the days we do...
[Action]
I'm curious what sort of natural holidays there are on Luceti. The civilizations here before, the Third Party. What holidays or celebrations did they have? Wouldn't that be wonderful to learn.
[Action]
But it would be nice to have a more personal relationship with them, through-through other means. The experiments don't usually help at all. But I can't see them...always working. I-I mean, I know the Third Party is always there waiting for an opening. I just can't imagine living day to day with such knowledge and never being able to celebrate a holiday.
