ϡ - Chapter Seventeen; in which one becomes a dragon [action]
[ Anyone in the vicinity of Community Housing 7 will, at that moment, hear a very loud roar coming from apartment 22 on floor 5. The glass of the windows in the kitchen will shatter and go flying and there will be some smoke coming out from the windows. Also if you come to investigate you'll see deep claw markings in the door's entry way. Whoops Helios is honestly sorry about that Frederic. He'll apologize later for the mess and for waking you up, he was just startled, hence the roar which would have been a yell but you know...translations and all. He had to leave before he got any bigger and destroyed the entire apartment. At least the houses fix themselves.
There is a golden scaled dragon in your town today Luceti and it looks vicious, but honestly it's pretty derpy and harmless. Well besides his tail, which he still hasn't gotten control of just yet. You also might feel your room shake as he walks by your house/apartment complex. He's about the size of a large house and he's wearing glass which apparently changed with his size, the Malnosso like to joke don't they? You'll also see his tiny golden green tipped wings beside his more larger golden ones. It's a clue as to who it is but he'll answer you if you ask. This dragon is on a mission, albeit a futile one. You might see him walking a bit in the woods and eventually ending up in front of the Bakery. Sweets...he wanted some and now he can't even fit through the door. He'll be sitting on his hind legs, tail curled around him and a clawed hand rubbing his chin. Indiscreet? Never, not when baked goods are concerned. He's trying to devise a way to get in there...but without doing some serious damage there are no options. No matter he doesn't want to alarm anyone so sometime later he will make his way down to the lake and there he will be, talking to himself, and staying there for the majority of well...however long this decides to last. He's honestly not going to be able to make a voice post with huge vicious claws anytime soon. Besides he can probably be heard from anywhere anyway; his voice carries nicely in this form. ]
Oh for goodness sake I don't know how they deal with being this large. [ There's a pause and a snort. ] I suppose the experiment is still going on then. [ Another sigh though it sounds more like an annoyed growl. ] But they can change their forms into humans. I wonder if I can just get that right...and then there is the ring. [ He will just be babbling don't mind the brooding dragon, lounging beside the lake, tapping a clawed hand into the ground folks. He is merely thinking and when Helios thinks it's usually good...sometimes. But you might want to watch the tail it's swaying erratically because that thing has a mind of its own. ]
((ooc; So you can meet him at any point in time! The time continuum is pretty broken in this post. While he's walking, at the bakery, or in the woods by the lake just specify I guess. Also he's going to stick out like a sore thumb anywhere he goes anyway. I'll be replying with
isthemyth for icon convenience. Also replies will be delayed since I has class~))

Because Helios is a dragon, that's why.]
Optimism is an admirable quality. Or so I'm told. And the tail is probably supposed to help you balance. Perhaps you shouldn't move it quite so much.
no subject
I think it's a decent quality, for here of all places. [ His tail does stop, or at least goes back to some sense of normal movement. ] Ah. That is a bit better. For a good portion of my adult life I've spoken to and conversed freely with dragons of all ages and sizes. Never would have thought I would actually turn into one. [ It's a small childish dream come true. ]
Though I do hope I'm doing them some justice, they're very proud creatures after all. Ra would probably be laughing at me right now if he saw this.

The glasses help. They make you look quite, um, dignified.
no subject
Hm. You think so? [ Another toothy smile. ] Thank you Giles.
no subject
You're a lot more talkative than the last dragon I saw.
no subject
Most of them do tend to be rather reclusive, or just not very talkative to humans. [ He'll scratch his chin with his claw. ] Though I'd imagine it would depend on the dragon in question.
no subject
This one wasn't exactly in the mood for talking. It had just been forcibly dragged over from its home dimension, and it's not as though we didn't have other concerns.
no subject
I could only imagine...poor thing. I've met decedents of the dragon in the legend of Saint George. They were not...very inclined towards human interaction to say the least. Though that's more of a past history than being taken from another dimension.
no subject
Yes, I can see where it would be.
I used to wonder if all dragons had just found another dimension to live in. One without Saint George's. And then I realized that, if dragons did still exist, there was no chance that one in its right mind would ever come to California. So it's all the same, in the end.
no subject
You never know, though. Anything is possible! California seems like a perfectly good spot for some sort of dragon. It's at least hot enough, well, at least the few times I've been there.
no subject
What's it like, in your world?
no subject
[ He thinks about it, trying to remember the few times he's gone there in the past. ] It was...different, eye opening really. The Golden Gate Bridge is positively breathtaking and San Francisco was very nice too.
no subject
San Francisco sounds...brighter.
thanks LJ for not giving me this notif till 30mins later /beats it
It's really rather wonderful, the trolleybuses especially.

What sort of "school business" qualifies as a vacation?
no subject
It only takes an hour or so to speak with the parents of new students. I...simply extend the visit for a few days. Just in case you know?
Note - do not reply to comments when thinking in Chinese
Of course. Just in case. No point in leaving a situation like that too soon.
fff I saw nothing

The Spanish had quite an effect on the place, as well.

Very true. It definately had a major impact on the religion at least. I did get a tip on the whereabouts of Kaknu still being in the area. It's one of the reasons why I went. A bit of a side job you could say. [ He does grin a little at that. Though he didn't actually find said mythological culture hero. ]
no subject
He actually was in Sunnydale, for a few days. Maybe you just missed him.
no subject
Really? Though should I ask what exactly he was doing there?
