Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, Eleven…oh there’s no more sugar left. Hmm I’ll have to pick some up later.

[ The transmission is silent, for some time, but it’s most likely because Helios doesn’t notice it’s on. The sounds of pages turning in a book are the only source of noise to be recognized. He'll give a long sigh. ] Mushi seem to have disappeared as well.

Oh! It’s on- [ He sighs again because he really needs to be more wary of this thing. Why so scatter brained Helios? ]

Hm. [ Tap. Tap. Tap. ] What method or means does magic come from in each of your respective worlds? Are people naturally predisposed to having powers, or are there means to which you may gain them?

[Naoki's voice is a low, almost distant murmur.] Magatama's the way I got my powers and abilities.

Naoki? Is everything alright?

[He swallows thickly.] It's...okay. Don't worry about it.

[ He's going to sigh. He really shouldn't because he'd say the exact same thing. ] I can't possibly not worry about it when you sound like that. I'm going to come over if you don't tell me.

[ He sounds very sincere about it so you better tell him or he's gonna come over. ]

[Naoki doesn't want to say. He probably won't, in the end, but--]

...can I come over for a little while, Helios?

[ He's not really taken aback, more concerned than anything. ]

Mm yes of course. I'll go make us some more tea-or, er something else. [ Since he used up all his sugar... ]

[A tiny laugh.] Anything's fine. [The company more than anything he wants. So he makes his way out the apartment and down the hall to his door, knocking.]

[ He'll get up from the table scattered with various books and the like. Opening the door with a warm smile on his face, stepping to the side to let the other in. But despite the smile there is a touch of concern in his eyes as well. ]

Pardon the mess I seem to keep things lying about more than putting them away! [ And a mess it is, books and papers with symbols on them are pretty much scattered around. ] Please make yourself at home!

Looks like my room. [Said with humour, even if it's subdued. He walks inside, glances around and wandering toward a chair.]

How've you been, Helios?

Haha! I'm so used to Rosette putting things away for me! [ Sheepish grin and a laugh to follow. He'll find a seat and scoop up the papers lying on it and place them on the table. ]

Oh you know, keeping occupied. / [ Doing what...is anyone's guess, it's probably best not to know. ] I've been quite well, thank you. Ah-and how are you doing? [ Because he did remember what you said a long time ago about your Father. ]

Rosette? [Naoki pauses, looks down at his hands, twisting them together, over and over. He could talk about what the main thing bothering him is, but...no.]

Mm...I'm alright. You remember that-- [He shifts, looking a little distant.] --that--day is Tuesday.

She's my Secretary! She's a dear for putting up with well...this. [ He motions to the room and its a tornado-just-went-through-it look. ]

Oh, oh dear are you...holding up well? [ He's looking at you Naoki quite concerned now. ] Anything I can do please let me know. Something like that...people shouldn't be alone for it especially when they're in a unfamiliar place of all times.

[He smiles at the first part, nodding a little, which fades just slightly.]

A-ah, it'll be okay. I'll get by. [Alone or not.] The company...helps, though. [A tiny smile.]

It is what we do, isn't it? Get by I mean with or without company. But it certainly does help. The company...always helps in these cases.

[ He'll give a small sigh his eyes fixating on nothing in particular, almost as if he's lost in thought or thinking about something from the past maybe. ]

[Naoki hums deep in his throat, nodding quietly in agreement and then looking over at him. He takes in his expression.]

Are you okay, Helios?

Oh! What- Yes! Fine, I'm fine! [ He laughs a bit nervously rubbing the back of his head as he sits back in his chair, eyes closing. ]

[Naoki's voice lowers a little.] If you want to talk about anything, I'm here.

[ He sighs pinching the bridge of his nose with a forefinger and thumb. ] W-Well it's just, ah-I too have a day coming up as well you see. But it's nothing to really worry about. [ Pause. ]

Besides you came here such a dour state I wouldn't want to make it any worse with my own problems.

[That gets a quiet smile. (We're pretty alike that way, then.)] Don't worry about that, Helios.

I'm not gonna nag at you to share, just...know that I'll listen, if you ever want to.

[ Helios will smile nodding back at the other. ]

Thank you Naoki. That means a lot, truly it does. It's just- [ He'll stop in his response shaking his head as he slowly gets up out of his chair. ]

hard you know? I've never really spoken about it. Never told anyone about it actually, but sometimes it's better to let it out, isn't it?

I understand... [He rests his arms on his knees, chin propped on them.]

And it really is hard. I...kept a lot of things to myself before coming here--but I found talking to friends helped a lot.

Yes talking things out is certainly for the best. Things like this...will eat you up on the inside, at least that's what a friend of mine in my world told me.

It's just... [ He'll let out a shaky sigh. ] people's perceptions might change from it.

[He shifts a little, looks down.]

I have things like that, too, that I've never told anyone because I'm afraid of how they'll think of me afterward. But it's...no good to let yourself be too afraid, I think. [A tiny laugh.]

[ He laughs but it's rather empty. ]

You're probably right it's better to discuss these things with people then to let it eat away at you. [ He pauses for a few moments, thinking most likely. It looks like he's debating on the matter, his expression alluding to his inner concerns and thoughts. ]

It-it was someone very dear to me.

[Naoki watches him quietly, with concern, folding his hands together. He nods slightly, indicating that he's listening.]
