[ The transmission is silent, for some time, but it’s most likely because Helios doesn’t notice it’s on. The sounds of pages turning in a book are the only source of noise to be recognized. He'll give a long sigh. ] Mushi seem to have disappeared as well.

Oh! It’s on- [ He sighs again because he really needs to be more wary of this thing. Why so scatter brained Helios? ]

Hm. [ Tap. Tap. Tap. ] What method or means does magic come from in each of your respective worlds? Are people naturally predisposed to having powers, or are there means to which you may gain them?

[Naoki's voice is a low, almost distant murmur.] Magatama's the way I got my powers and abilities.

In my world you have to have some natural talent and then you can learn magic by teaching yourself or with a teacher. Even with that, no one can learn every spell that exists.

Ahh yes I suppose you would be, hm? Being an angel and all that. [ A slight chuckle. ] Are you taking care of yourself dear? It's been awhile since we last spoke!

Has anyone ever tried? I know there's a good deal of spells in my world as well. Learning all of them takes years and years of practice unless you're something of a prodigy.

I've tried, but there are just certain elements that I can't learn the spells for. Fire magic, for instance, can only be learned by certain people.

[ He's going to sigh. He really shouldn't because he'd say the exact same thing. ] I can't possibly not worry about it when you sound like that. I'm going to come over if you don't tell me.

[ He sounds very sincere about it so you better tell him or he's gonna come over. ]

Hm? Oh1 Well usually people are born with it! Though even some today are still skeptical as to how it all works.

Yes I've heard of people talking about that. I do wonder why that is. I don't have any trouble learning different elements!

About your question though, just all depends on what you consider 'magic' or 'powers' and stuff like that!

[ He'll get up from the table scattered with various books and the like. Opening the door with a warm smile on his face, stepping to the side to let the other in. But despite the smile there is a touch of concern in his eyes as well. ]

Pardon the mess I seem to keep things lying about more than putting them away! [ And a mess it is, books and papers with symbols on them are pretty much scattered around. ] Please make yourself at home!

I was born with mine, the only one in my entire family to have magic of any kind. It's not possible to gain it where I'm from.

Mostly it's something that's innate but there are outside factors as well.

My gods and goddesses blessed me with mine, but most of the other humans on Earth acquired it through something called a metagene. There are still other forms of magic other than these, though.
