ϡ - Chapter TwentySeven; The brief interlude [voice/action] backdated to the 10th
[ It’s been awhile and with everything that’s occurred he had almost forgotten. But it’s September 10th once again. That day…that day Elise passed away and he lost the most important person to him. He’s lost a lot here, been through a lot here. But the memory doesn’t fade, doesn’t heal, and he doesn’t want it to. This is for her and everything she meant to him, everything she still is to him.
So he can’t forget and never will. ]
It’s funny. How…certain things catch up to you. I-I suppose you lose track of time in this place, hm? It’s quite easy to do so, what with no designated unit. It...makes you wonder what other people back home might be doing. Might have been doing in the interim.
Ah! And a belated welcome to all our new arrivals. It's a bit strange, isn't it? But...everyone here is welcoming enough. You'll-you'll come to find that out on your own though. I've met some...very wonderful people here. I hope you can all do the same. Luceti is a trying place at times but we help one another, and it makes things easier.
[ There’s no other transmission after that for awhile. The roomies can hear him walking, pacing actually, in his room before it stops and he opens the door. He’ll go to leave heading to the memory garden. He makes one more voice post before he places a bundle of flowers in one of the open plots. ]
I-I hope it’s not, not too much trouble. I, um, used one of the plots in the g-garden. If, it is…I can move them. [ He has a plot out in the forest anyway. And he’ll actually make his way to the edge of the town sometime later in the afternoon. He’ll return around midday and then hang around town until late at night. He’ll be outside looking up at the stars outside of CH7 humming a rather interesting song to himself. It’s actually a song she wrote for him but it’s not like anyone would know that. Maybe though, just maybe, the love in it will be conferred via his poor attempt at humming it. He also might not be speaking to anyone in particular, actually he's speaking to himself, odd isn't it? But he'll be out back by the boat laying as comfortable as his wings will allow on his back. He'll just be idly tracing the stars with one hand and one eye closed. His journal is beside him and it isn't recording he made sure of that. Still people walking by might hear someone talking to themselves.]
It's rather beautiful out here, Elise. I-I think you would enjoy it. You always were interested in the outdoors. I wish you could be here to see it. [ But it wouldn't be right for him to wish her here. He's not sure she deserves to be here...be with him. Still the idea makes him smile if even just a little bit. ]
((ooc; Pretty much you can meet Helios anywhere he's at today. Afternoon, midday, or nighttime. You don't have to label it if you don't want. Also he might be a bit preoccupied/invested in his thoughts. I suggest sneaking up on him and startling him /shot))

[Action]
I-I'm sorry. I was just...talking to myself. I didn't wake you or anything did I?
[ Now that he thinks about it's probably silly to admit talking to himself, let alone at night time. ]
[Action]
/Not at all, just came home from work.
The boat looks great./
[Action]
[ He'll look back at the boat nodding. ] Yes it's...amazing what we can accomplish here. I never thought I'd be lending a hand building a boat of all things.
[Action]
It's very impressive, all of you should be very proud of it./
[There's small wave of her hand at him, the boat, and the sky.]
/Am I interrupting something?/
[Action]
[ Helios smiles. ] I have to admit it did come out rather lovely. I do wish I could have provided a bit more work on it. [ A shrug. Being unable to read boating books will hamper that. ]
And oh no! I was just...stargazing really.
[Action]
[Ginia glances up at the sky. It's beautiful being away from city lights and having such a clear view of the sky.]
/It is a beautiful night for stargazing. I've been wondering what stars we're seeing up there. What with all the different worlds and everything./
[Action]
[ Helios will nod looking back up at the sky along with her. ]
It is, isn't it? I've been wondering the same thing. I proposed the idea to Giles about mapping out constellations. Perhaps giving us our own, or-or something of the sort. It would be easier sailing with the boat.
[Action]
/That sounds like a wonderful idea. If they can't be identified, I don't see what's wrong with making up ones for here./
[She pauses, remembering something and laughing quietly to herself.]
/I did that as a child. Made up my own constellations, came up with stories behind them./
[Action]
I don't think anyone would mind. I just wish we had...more of a history to refer to for this place, really. It would be nice to know if they already had stories of their own. [ He smirks looking back at Ginia as she says that. He'll put both hands behind his head leaning back a little. ]
Though making them up wouldn't be so bad either. It could be a collective sort of effort.
[Action]
[She chuckles quietly, glancing up at the stars and wondering what stories they hold and what they've seen. There must be more to this world, especially with an enemy, the Third Party, out there. There has to be something.]
/It would be wonderful if we knew more, both about the land and the history. One day, maybe.
Though yes, it would be fun to gather people, come up with constellations and stories. Make this bit of land a little bit more ours./
[Action]
Yes one day we can only hope that the Malnosso will share whatever information they might have. If they have any at all. [ He'll shift in his position again a soft cool nightly September breeze brushing over the two of them. ]
But I do think it might be a good bonding experience if we create some stories of our own here.
[Action]
/Our own stories to leave for those who may come next./
[Action]
A record of what we've been through while here. N-Not the most charming reads, I'm sure. But it would be insightful, it always is coming from word of mouth.
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[It's a sobering topic and probably not the best for the night. She shoulders her bag a little more as she smiles over at him.]
/How are you doing? I heard your entry earlier, you sounded a little... I don't know./
[Action]
[ No probably not. But it's a good distraction from the rest of the day's muddled and deep thoughts he's been having. ]
Oh! Me? I-I'm all right. Just...just one of those days.
[Action]
/Know those all too well. Want to talk about it or is it none of my business?/
[Action]
It was...an important day. [ And he ruined it that night. ]
[Action]
[Action]
Do you think people should be forgiven for their mistakes? [ It's just an honest question. And they've shared their fair share of them in last few months. ] Especially when they ruin something important for someone else.
[Action]
/I suppose it really depends on the type of mistakes, but a mistake implies something happened without any intention behind it. So if someone acknowledges they made a mistake and is sincere in seeking forgiveness, then sure. I think the most important part would be they wouldn't do it again./
[Action]
What if they don't deserve it? Because the person who died forewarned them beforehand that something might go wrong. [ He still does it but he's just more careful now. ] A-And they still do it, in passing, b-but they're, they're much more careful about it now.
[Action]
Judging him only means turning the scope on herself actions after all and she knows how well she's damned herself.]
/A harder situation. There's a saying that the road to hell is paved with the best of intentions./
[Action]
[ His intentions were good. Not pure because of what summoning was regarded as, illegal. But he'd never meant for it to turn so bad. For everything to go so...wrong. ]
