ϡ - Chapter TwentyOne; Return [action/voice]
[ There’s the sound of shaky uneven breathing coming over the transmission and then a cough or two. It’s almost as if the person on the other side is a bit startled, a bit confused and a bit in pain. The sharp intake of breath and the murmured exclamation of surprise doesn’t really yield anymore good results for those listening in. ] I-I can’t…
[ Helios can’t see more specifically he can’t see out of his right eye and it’s very troublesome if not startling. As if he didn’t run into things frequently enough—now this was just added to it. Next will come a painful humorless laugh very odd and uncharacteristic from his lips. But how could a man who has perfect vision not laugh at now only having half his vision. The Malnosso have a sick sense of humor indeed. ] Oh how very ironic of them. [ A sigh. ]
I’m back. I’m terribly sorry…to have worried anyone. But I'm fine.
[ Such a lie. It’s said in a very tired voice not the usual flair or characteristic upbeat tone the man usually has. ] I-I’ll be back to the apartment shortly, in a moment, I just need to-- [ It was supposed to be a healing spell and yet it went so very wrong. There's a sharp yell of pain on his end before a breathless confused one worded exclamation. ] Wh-what!?
[ The transmission will be abruptly cut off and if you’re anywhere in the town square today you can see a blonde haired man slumped against a building his right hand over his right eye and half of his face covered in freshly drawn blood, no thanks to a healing spell backfiring on him of course, also his entire right side seems to be bloodied like the Malnosso only worked on that half of him. If he wasn’t in pain he’d be making it back to the apartment by now but as it stands the blood lose plus lacking sight isn’t helping any. The feed is turned on again after he’s gotten a fair handle on himself. He really just doesn’t want to alarm anyone right now that’s just how he is. ] I’m going to need some...some more t-time. Perhaps some...assistance as well. My apologies.
[Helios is not going to say what’s wrong but you’ll probably find out through his voice alone something unforeseen has occurred, because it’s riddled with confusion. How could this have happened; he was just trying to heal himself and now…this. They did something his spells that was the only clear definitive answer. Now he just needed to figure out how to fix it. Helios will be staggering to his feet and leaning against the side of the building as he makes his way back to C7. ]
(( ooc; No posting order and time and space are broken. Who needs chronological events anyway? So multiple people can help him. He totally needs it anyway. ))

Helios!

F-Frederic? Ah. I'm sorry to come back in such a--state. My... [ He can't honestly say it because he's still in disbelief and shock about the whole thing. ] My magic. I'm feeling very light headed at the moment. [ He will stop in his tracks left eye closing as another weary sigh escapes him. ]
[ action ]
You don't need to speak anymore, my friend. I shall get you back to the apartment right away.

[Voice/Action]
[Guess who instantly reacts to that voice and subsequently cry of pain?]
Helios. Helios, is that you?
Give me your location. Now. [Robert's voice is terse, sharp, and cold. Strictly professional. There's panic screaming just under the surface but his mind is clear and calm.
Find Helios. Get him medical treatment immediately because he's in obvious pain.]
[Voice]
Y-yes it's me. [ Wince on his end; he was not expecting that tone of voice from Robert of all people. His own voice is still latent with pain but confusion is working its way to over bear it in terms of being pronounce. He's somewhat got his bearings and recognizes the building he's next to. ] Library. I'm on the side of the Library. [ It's really as far as he could drag himself at the moment. ]
Re: [Voice/Action]
As a result, he makes it to where Helios is within five minutes, spurred on mostly by adrenaline, fear and concern for his friend. As he moves towards Helios' location, he's already giving orders. Tersely, because this is an emergency.] We need to get you to a clinic as soon as possible. Get you out of the cold and somewhere safe. [As he sees the blonde man - COVERED in blood - his stomach clenches. God damn what had the Malnosso done to him?]
... Alright. He hesitates only a moment in front of Helios, glancing over the man's body - he can't tell if those wounds are deep or not.] That bleeding has to be staunched. [And ignoring the cold and the fact Helios would see his scars, Robert takes off his heavy coat and undoes his lab coat.] If you have your knife on you, I can use it to bandage you - else I'm going to have to think of some other method. [Helios might notice the detached calculating look in Robert's eyes that shows his logical and rational mind has totally trumped his emotional panic.]
[Action]
Re: [Action]
The clinic is closer. I should get you there immediately. [Robert gently - but firmly - takes hold of Helios' arm, pulling his labcoat over himself with the other to stave off the freezing air on his now-bare chest.] The Malnosso did this to you. [It's not a question, just a disgusted statement.]
How did you injure yourself? I heard you cry out in pain. [Robert is trying to brace Helios as well as possible, keeping him steady to compensate for his obviously-damaged right eye. He's weak and small, yes, but it's better than letting Helios topple over, and panic is making him stronger than he usually is. He continues to usher the headmaster towards the clinic, as fast as they're both capable of going.]
[Action]
My...it--it shouldn't have done this. [ He sounds so confused and just generally disbelieving. How could they possibly do this to him? Why did they do this to him? It was his magic the one thing he used a good deal and now it might quite possibly be a threat to him. He's silent as they start moving towards the clinic however, his answer not really helpful. But Robert probably gets the gist of it. ]

[Voice]
The...the town square. Thank you. I'm very grateful.
[Voice/Action]
[As Selphie grabs the first-aid kit and pulls on her jacket and boots before racing out the door toward the town square.]
[Voice]
I suppose this will be a rather bad first meeting. The Malnosso do make it ever so hard sometimes.

action;
Oh my god, what happened?
action;
[ Tone of disbelief in his voice? Check. Utter disbelief actually. It's never happened before, ever, and he was still somewhat shaken by the whole thing. ]
action;
[ this, caroline did not know and her fascination is more feigned than anything else. she's no stranger to magic. one of her best friends is a witch and enchanted the very ring on her finger that allows her to walk in the daylight. but, normal teenager act is a go, so she looks utterly amazed at the notion of magic. ]
Is that...normal?
action;
Backfiring? Ha, no, not at all. It--It must have been the Malnosso. It has to have been. [ His current state is clearly indicative of this. ]
action;
[ she's staring at the blood and it's making her gums itch, but she holds back. breathe, caroline. breathe. just like stefan taught you. ]
Are you, like...okay? That looks pretty bad. Do you need me to go get one of the doctors or something?
action;
Luceti does shove such things in people's faces. [ Among other things. He might nod slightly. ] I-I think a doctor would be best. [ Because she obviously doesn't know any healing magic herself and Helios is in a rather lot of pain at the moment. ] If...I could just get back to my apartment my friends knows some healing magic.
