Hm. [ Tap. Tap. Tap. ] What method or means does magic come from in each of your respective worlds? Are people naturally predisposed to having powers, or are there means to which you may gain them?

Yes actually! Magic is easily transmutable to inanimate things it's choosing the thing that's the difficult part. That all depends on the skill of the user really.

So if you got this new, magical item, you'd just have to know how to use that magic? Y'know, cuz someone who doesn't know it's magical could just come along and have it with them, but it'd be useless, yeah?

Hm not necessarily. Normal people can use it as well, though I'm not sure how much good the ring's properties would be to a normal looking person. But it all depends, hexes and curses can affect anyone that touches the item imbued with them.

Yeah, but that's if we know what we're facing! Sometimes people just worry too much 'bout stuff that might not even come up, that's what I'm sayin'!

That's pretty cool. It's kinda like the magic's got power in itself too with or without a person to activate it. Hey, so what's the coolest thing you've ever put magic into?

Something like that, yes. I don't know if it's cool but the castle has tons of magic put into it! It's something of a family heirloom and ever since my great ancestors built it we've always put in some of our own magic.

Some find them to be haunted! But you know this one is quite homely I like to think. Actually it does! My magic is linked to me by default you see, something like bound to my soul in a sense. As long as I'm alive and kicking there's no problems whatsoever!

Haunted? Hehe, but that's what makes 'em so cool too! There were a couple of pyramids we went into that were haunted and stuff. Heh, scared the heck outta one of my friends! Do you ever need to use your magic against the ghosts and all?

Hey, I like that idea! Your magic's your own, and everyone knows that it's yours! Sounds like a good idea too in case anyone's got the uncool idea of tryin' to use magic in your name for bad stuff.

You know ghosts do have a bad reputation, but the ones that are in my school are quite popular! Haha I try not use it against anyone if I can help it!

I've never thought of it that, but you point. It'd take someone of considerable power to mimic another's magic though.

Popular ghosts? Heh, still wouldn't convince my friend of that! What makes 'em so popular... Do you know 'em? Like, um, when they were alive. Or even after that, I guess, heh!

Oh yes with the ring people don't even notice! Some of my more popular students happen to be ghosts! I guess it all depends on the personality, some of them deserve a second chance, you know? And I figure why not allow them that.

Not to mention it's a taboo also. Illegal as well, could get one into serious trouble if you're caught doing it in my world. [ Also killed but he refrains from saying anything like that. He also will not mention he knows how to do it. Curiosity was always this man's weakness. ] Oh no, no I think there's far better people out there than I! You teach all of them magic? Whoa... Man, don't you hafta keep track of all of 'em? I bet some of them don't get along just cuz of what they are, you know? [Hearing about Helios's world was always so interesting!]

Same thing anywhere, I think! You pretend to be someone else, you're gonna get in some kinda trouble. Might not be legal trouble, but yeah, somethin' along those lines. And no problem, you're welcome 'bout that!

All of them...? Oh heavens no! Not all of them, just those who are magicians like myself. Yes you do have a point but I have strict policies for my school you see! Just so nothing like that happens.

Oh, okay, I get it now! Man, just picturing dragons or vampires or somethin' using magic... I'd love to see that! But that kinda thing is totally normal in your world, heh, isn't it?

Normal in a sense, it's not widely known amongst non-magical people. You could say we're the minority in my world. Underground if you know what I mean; normally we wouldn't even be able to use our magic around regular people.

Normal for you then and the group you work with! It's still really cool. 'Wish you could actually use it around everyone else since it's what you are and part of what you can do!

Hm I wish that too. It would be nice and perhaps someday it'll work out in the end. At least that's what I hope.
