folklorist | ϡ - Chapter Thirty; Winter Wonderland antics [Voice|Action]

[ Good morning Luceti if you’re in town today, and probably in the surrounding areas as well, you’ll notice some large lumbering pure white figures walking about some might even be flying. No, no, they aren’t harmful in the least, although the creatures they take after might argue otherwise, and they are not yetis or other such things that come out in the thickest of snowfalls. What they however are the products of one derpy headmaster feeling the Christmas cheer thanks to the effects the Malnosso have put in place and him waking up very early in the morning after the snowfall last night to make said creatures. There will be various mythological snow creatures walking about today though none of them can make much noise or do much of anything, they’re pretty docile actually and if you wanted to you could probably even ride on top of them they won't mind, really! There will be a dragon with icicles for horns and teeth following Helios around as he makes his way into town. He’ll be there for a good portion of the day also making a majestic Griffin, and a snow unicorn. That’s not to say these are the only things that’ll be popping up. Other mythological creatures might be seen around as well. Phoenixes, mandrakes, minotaurs, kitsunes, Kodama in the more forested areas and even Nue. The list is really endless and well Helios has been having probably too much fun doing this. Some of them will be life sized, but nothing too extravagant or outlandish, lets say the tallest would be around ten or so feet tall, while others miniature. They’ll all be moving and just mulling about and you can be sure they’re movements are quite like the real things if you’ve ever encountered one.

They can be interacted with through the entire day with Helios sometimes in accompaniment. And later into the afternoon Helios will be found in the town square with his snowy dragon companion making your standard issued snowmen, each one getting their own complimentary hat, scarf, and pipe. He'll take a break and eventually pull out his journal for a short little network post. ]

Ah there's nothing like freshly fallen snow to make a good sturdy snowman out of, is there? I used to do it all the time back in Romania. I believe there was even a game that whoever had the best would have to make hot chocolate for everyone...with extra marshmallows. [ A thoughtful hum. ]

I was thinking...has Luceti ever had a snowman or ice sculpture competition? I've seen some extremely good ones around as of late. I think we could have a rather good turn out, quite the competition too, all in good fun though!

[ He may not be able to summon mythica into existence here, without the dangers of the side effects it would impose on his own world, but that doesn't mean he can't build them as an alternative! And because he just has to ask... ] Are there any creatures in your worlds that can control this element or are at least generally associated with it? Yuki-onna is one of the better known ones in mine. A tall and beautiful woman with black hair and blue lips. She's said to be quite cold, figuratively and literally, but she also has a more motherly and good side to her. The Snow Queen is another one, based on Yuki-onnas, and then there's even Jack Frost too. All are very similar in the fact that they deal with this element. And let's not forget Yetis, interesting beings yetis are. They have quite knowledge of mountaineering not that I expected any less of course.

[ He totally knows this from experience guys. Not like anyone is surprised anymore. ] I suppose Santa Claus can work too tis the season after all! I wonder if the people here had anyone like him? Ah, well, left to speculation at this point hm? I do hope everyone has a good holiday though, you can never get too into the spirit of things.

[ Albeit the Malnosso seem to fit that bill at times...but, no, he is not going to let the Malnosso ruin his Christmas not this year. Finally around later in the evening all the snow mythica will go back to being their snowy, sculptural selves, and can be found throughout the village in regal more natural poses. ]

Ah yes. It is...quite complicated. Though I-I don't understand it much myself honestly. [ Horrible with technology person right here. ]

But people have done it before...I-I just am a bit hesitant to try, really.

B-But I bet you could totally do it! I mean, like, you made a unicorn!

_{[A snow unicorn, but still. She gestures to it to emphasize her point.]}

If you ask me, if you can do something like that, you can probably do pretty much anything.

Oh you think so?

[ Helios smiles and laughs lightly at that. ]

I-I'm not sure. I'm not very good with that whole...technology business. Magic is rather easy when you've been doing it for as long as I have. A-And it wasn't really a complicated spell...

[ So Pilouette how do you like phoenixes? because one is landing right near you with its wings outstretched. ]

I still bet you could do it, though. I mean, maybe you could get someone who knows more about it to help you with i-

_{[She jumps a little as the phoenix lands and stares at it in awe.]}

Wow...! D-Did you make this one, too?!

Ah! [ It even takes Helios by surprise and he startles. ] So nice of him to drop by!

[ Helios laughs. ] I-I did, yes.

Omigosh...

_{[Any trace of her attempted maturity has disappeared by this point, replaced by a look of childlike amazement.]}

Okay, if you can do this I bet you can definitely do that battlewhatever stuff!

[ D'aw Pilouette Helios is just regarding you with a small sincere smile on his face. He's really enjoying the fact that you're so excited about this. Maturity disappeared or not, Helios hardly ever manages to keep his around certain things either. It's just you can't help yourself sometimes, you know? ]

Perhaps...I'll certainly have to give it try now, won't I? [ He pauses and kneels on the snow covered ground. Helios gives her a brief look. ] Is there anything else you'd like to see?

[ This is all request Monday apparently. ]

I can't think of anything else...What you've already done is like, totally amazing, Mr. Sprensonne~!

Ah well. Perhaps a little dragon! Or, maybe a griffin! [ Said griffin will land a mere few feet away. ]

Wonderful timing! [ Helios is smiling like a dork don't mind him. ]

_{[She lets out a surprised little squeak as it lands before kind of...gawking at it. Pilouette has never been much into mythology and she just has no idea what this thing is. All she knows is that it's pretty incredible. She's practically bouncing over here.]}

Oh, wow~! I don't think I've ever seen anything like this one~!

[ Helios chuckles smiling as he watches Pilouette's apparent joy and amusement at his snow mythica. ]

Griffins yes. Very proud, very protective and smart creatures. They have the head and wings of an eagle and the body of a lion.

_{[She turns toward Helios, still grinning.]}

You sure do know a lot about these kinds of things, huh?

It comes with the job. [ A smirk. ] But I wouldn't change any of it for the world. [ Helios smiles affectionately at the griffin as it bows its head a little so he can pet it. ]

With the job...?

_{[A puzzled look crosses her face. What kind of job needs someone to know this kind of thing? For just a moment, she thinks about it, trying to guess, but she soon remembers that, given the whole magic thing, it could be any number of jobs she's never even heard of.]}

What do you do?

Oh me? I'm just your average everyday headmaster, really. N-Not too extravagant! [ Aside from the fact that the people and beings that go to his school are vampires, demons, and griffins. ]

But, ah, knowing all this is because some of my students are a bit...different than most you would normally get attending school. [ he gives a small wink at that. ]

_{[At the word "average" she casts a sideways glance at the snow creatures nearby. Average. Right.]}

_{[She nods, though she's not entirely sure she knows just how different he means.]}

Well supernaturally speaking they're quite spot on. But in terms of students you'd find going to highschool they're an...eclectic bunch to say the least.

[ Helios is average! Even in terms of magic or, well, at least he thinks he is. Helios doesn't think much of himself you see and it's all very apparent that he really, really, should. ]

[She gives him a puzzled look. Yup, she's definitely sure she doesn't quite get what he means.]

How so?

Well if you consider griffins and demons and angels as common students then I suppose they're not so different after all.

[ helios smirks. ] But it's a very big secret.

_{[She goes slackjawed for a moment. What. Well he just keeps pulling out all kinds of surprises, doesn't he?]}

A secret...O-Okay! Then I won't say anything!

[ Helios is like that. Like a bag of tricks! ] Good good! Perhaps if we ever could get the chance to go to one another's worlds...I could give you a tour.

[ A pause as he taps his chin, thoughtful. ] Ah! But! The battledome might suit that purpose too! If you'd like to see the castle that is.

[Oh, heck yes.] Y-yeah! That would be like, totally awesome~! Golly, it's like I keep meeting all these amazing people here...!

Luceti is an amazing place! The people make it even more so. [ Have a bright smile from him. ]

_{[She lets out a sheepish little laugh.]}

It makes me feel like, so totally ordinary, you know?

Oh I don't know. Being ordinary here just means you're extraordinary really. What with magic being such commonplace and all. [ Helios gives her a small smile. ]
