folklorist | ϡ - Chapter Thirty; Winter Wonderland antics [Voice|Action]

[ Good morning Luceti if you’re in town today, and probably in the surrounding areas as well, you’ll notice some large lumbering pure white figures walking about some might even be flying. No, no, they aren’t harmful in the least, although the creatures they take after might argue otherwise, and they are not yetis or other such things that come out in the thickest of snowfalls. What they however are the products of one derpy headmaster feeling the Christmas cheer thanks to the effects the Malnosso have put in place and him waking up very early in the morning after the snowfall last night to make said creatures. There will be various mythological snow creatures walking about today though none of them can make much noise or do much of anything, they’re pretty docile actually and if you wanted to you could probably even ride on top of them they won't mind, really! There will be a dragon with icicles for horns and teeth following Helios around as he makes his way into town. He’ll be there for a good portion of the day also making a majestic Griffin, and a snow unicorn. That’s not to say these are the only things that’ll be popping up. Other mythological creatures might be seen around as well. Phoenixes, mandrakes, minotaurs, kitsunes, Kodama in the more forested areas and even Nue. The list is really endless and well Helios has been having probably too much fun doing this. Some of them will be life sized, but nothing too extravagant or outlandish, lets say the tallest would be around ten or so feet tall, while others miniature. They’ll all be moving and just mulling about and you can be sure they’re movements are quite like the real things if you’ve ever encountered one.

They can be interacted with through the entire day with Helios sometimes in accompaniment. And later into the afternoon Helios will be found in the town square with his snowy dragon companion making your standard issued snowmen, each one getting their own complimentary hat, scarf, and pipe. He'll take a break and eventually pull out his journal for a short little network post. ]

Ah there's nothing like freshly fallen snow to make a good sturdy snowman out of, is there? I used to do it all the time back in Romania. I believe there was even a game that whoever had the best would have to make hot chocolate for everyone...with extra marshmallows. [ A thoughtful hum. ]

I was thinking...has Luceti ever had a snowman or ice sculpture competition? I've seen some extremely good ones around as of late. I think we could have a rather good turn out, quite the competition too, all in good fun though!

[ He may not be able to summon mythica into existence here, without the dangers of the side effects it would impose on his own world, but that doesn't mean he can't build them as an alternative! And because he just has to ask... ] Are there any creatures in your worlds that can control this element or are at least generally associated with it? Yuki-onna is one of the better known ones in mine. A tall and beautiful woman with black hair and blue lips. She's said to be quite cold, figuratively and literally, but she also has a more motherly and good side to her. The Snow Queen is another one, based on Yuki-onnas, and then there's even Jack Frost too. All are very similar in the fact that they deal with this element. And let's not forget Yetis, interesting beings yetis are. They have quite knowledge of mountaineering not that I expected any less of course.

[ He totally knows this from experience guys. Not like anyone is surprised anymore. ] I suppose Santa Claus can work too tis the season after all! I wonder if the people here had anyone like him? Ah, well, left to speculation at this point hm? I do hope everyone has a good holiday though, you can never get too into the spirit of things.

[ Albeit the Malnosso seem to fit that bill at times...but, no, he is not going to let the Malnosso ruin his Christmas not this year. Finally around later in the evening all the snow mythica will go back to being their snowy, sculptural selves, and can be found throughout the village in regal more natural poses. ]

[And of course Grune is going to devote just as much attention to the newcomers as the kitsune who saw her first. That one may sulk just a little at no longer being the sole focus of her attention.]

They're all very sweet. I wonder if I could bring them home.

[House 34 will be thrilled.]

I don't think they'd mind coming home with you. [ Helios is amused his smiling only widening. ]

Kitsunes are rather playful, I did make more than enough for that reason. I knew people would like them a lot, so, if you'd like you most certainly can.

Oh, my. You made them?

[Have one very impressed Grune!]

Ah yes! I thought the town could use a little more Christmas cheer and what better way than some snow mythica!

[ Helios smiles quite broadly at this. ]

They're wonderful! You must have worked very hard.

[Her friends are absolutely amazing!]

Oh it was nothing really! I'm just glad everyone can enjoy them and hopefully they are!

I'm sure they've made everyone very happy!

[They certainly have done the job with her. Still trying to pet all the kitsune, here.]

That was certainly the intent! I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. Would you like to see the unicorn? Perhaps the dragon...if I can find where he wandered off to. [ Cue Helios looking around curiously for his pet snow dragon. ]

Oh, I'd love to see them both!

[Hmm.... Could she safely pick up one of the kitsune?]

We might have to walk around a bit I'm afraid. I-I'm not sure where they're off at but, well, I suppose that's what happens when you make snow sculptures move. [ Helios chuckles lightly to himself. ]

That's all right. It can be an adventure!

[Reluctantly, she decides against picking up one of the kitsune. Instead, she gives them all one last pat, then stands up.]

Yes! Luceti does tend to open itself up to such things, doesn't it? An adventure and perhaps we can stop by the house later for some hot chocolate and tea. [ And sweets, tea and coco always comes with sweets.

The kitsunes for the most part watch Grune stand up and they will probably follow the two of them for someways onward before dispatching and going to find more people to entertain. ]

Oh, what a good idea! I can't wait!

[Grune waves goodbye to the kitsune, then follows Helios.]

I don't think you can go wrong with hot chocolate on a cold winter's day.

[ They'll be walking through the town when the snow dragon, aptly named Kuraokami and another smaller slender female bodied dragon named Shiva, come into view. They both stop and turn to look at Grune and Helios. ] Grune I'd like you to meet Kuraokami and Shiva.

[ He gestures to the two dragons and then Grune a smile on his face all the while. ]

[Grune beams at the pair, not remotely intimidated by their size.]

Hello, Kuraokami! Hello, Shiva! It's very nice to meet you.

[ The dragons bow their heads slightly as they come ever closer. ]

I think they're saying hello as well. [ Helios smiles as one of the dragons spreads its sparkling snowy wings, the light dancing off the snow crystals giving the illusion of beauty within them. ]

[Grune giggles, then reaches out to touch the nearest dragon.]

They're so beautiful!

[ Shiva will nuzzle up to Grune's open hand. Enjoying those pets very much so Grune. Very much so! ] Thank you. They are something, aren't they? Ah if only I could show you a real one...

[ Helios watches Kuraokami lay down his tail wrapping about him as he looks over at Shiva and Grune. ] They are such regal and beautiful creatures. I-I'm not sure my snow sculptures do them justice but, well, I certainly did try. [ And that's all that matters, right? ]

[Pat pat pat!]

Yes, dragons are so pretty, aren't they? [Totally forgetting to mention that she and her friends have slain a few.]

You did such a good job making them, Helios!

Yes they are. Very regal too. [ Helios' smile widens a little with the compliment. ] Oh, no. It-it was nothing really. I-I wish I could say that they were anything close to the beauty of the real things, but, well make do with what we have, hm?

They're still very beautiful. [Grune still thinks you're amazing, Helios, no matter what you say.

...Is it possible to snuggle with a dragon?]

I'm glad you think so Grune. It truly means a lot, saying that. [ A beaming smile back at her.

As for cuddling snow dragons, well, they might not be the warmest of things to cuddle. But I'm sure they wouldn't mind in the least. ]

Would you like to make something with me? Perhaps...something from your own world?

[Grune doesn't mind getting cold if it means she gets cuddles out of it!

At Helios'suggestion, though, she looks up from petting Kuraokami and smiles. For once, she has an idea already.]

A Peepit? [ Helios looks...intrigued. ] What do they look like?
