ϡ - chapter thirteen; rememberance [action|written]

[ Around mid-afternoon Helios will be making his way across town with a small bundle of flowers in his hands. It might seem a bit odd, random even, but today is a rather...hard day for him; regardless he does have a small smile on his face as he makes his way through town. There's soft hum coming from his lips, absentmindedly and almost indistinguishably if you're not close enough. It's a soft melody and peaceful, or as peaceful as he can manage it to be. He has his journal with him just in case anything goes wrong.

He pauses momentarily at the edge of town, looking back almost as if he's thinking of making a post but...he decides against it for now. And then he turns and heads off into the forest.

He'll return later with one lone flower still in between his fingers and some dirt on both pant legs and his hands. He takes a seat by the fountain in the town square idly looking at his journal and of course the flower he is twirling unmindful with his pointer finger and thumb of his left hand. ]

If you could go back and change one event in your life, would you? Or would leave it as a reminder or perhaps a lesson learned? History is known for teaching us our past mistakes and also to be used in helping us in the future as well. History repeats itself as the saying goes.

[Sora's actually had similar thoughts at times, and he's got a question about that sort of thing. And since Helios is asking...]

But if we changed anything, wouldn't that change who we are?

It could possibly. But who's to say that change isn't for the better?

I don't know, if we wouldn't be us if we changed something... Kind of a strange thought, I guess.

[He likes being him, even with all his responsibilities.]

Strange as it maybe, one can't help but wonder sometimes. And if you weren't you, you might not remember those friendships or bonds you made. I suppose it's good then that it's only hypothetical.

Yeah... just hypothetical. [His situation's so weird that he's not even sure where it falls on the scale, but he knows all his friends forgot him at one point.]

Sometimes though it's not--mm but it's best to just look at things as they are now, hm?

Yeah, I think so. I mean, we can't change stuff like that, right? We can just fix it after something happens to it, I thought.

Well it might be possible. Anything really is, I would certainly look for a way--if it meant saving someone.

[And despite the previously semi-somber discussion, Sora has to smile at that.]

There's a lot of ways of saving people if you just look for them. A lot of them you probably won't even recognize.
