ϡ - chapter thirteen; rememberance [action|written]

[ Around mid-afternoon Helios will be making his way across town with a small bundle of flowers in his hands. It might seem a bit odd, random even, but today is a rather...hard day for him; regardless he does have a small smile on his face as he makes his way through town. There's soft hum coming from his lips, absentmindedly and almost indistinguishably if you're not close enough. It's a soft melody and peaceful, or as peaceful as he can manage it to be. He has his journal with him just in case anything goes wrong.

He pauses momentarily at the edge of town, looking back almost as if he's thinking of making a post but...he decides against it for now. And then he turns and heads off into the forest.

He'll return later with one lone flower still in between his fingers and some dirt on both pant legs and his hands. He takes a seat by the fountain in the town square idly looking at his journal and of course the flower he is twirling unmindful with his pointer finger and thumb of his left hand. ]

If you could go back and change one event in your life, would you? Or would leave it as a reminder or perhaps a lesson learned? History is known for teaching us our past mistakes and also to be used in helping us in the future as well. History repeats itself as the saying goes.

[ People seem to be really interested in this type of question lately. Changing instead of just forgetting, though. That's quite the prospect.

It would be a wasted lesson. A man who changes what he's grown from is a coward.

But...what if that lesson even though wasted, could bring back something you truly missed or lost due to that event? I think it would be worth being called a coward; though it's merely my opinion.

Anything I returned would take me for a fool.

Take you for a fool? Whatever for? Unless they wouldn't be grateful for you doing so.

I've a habit of losing things that have already been lost.

[folklorist]

[ If you could hear him; he'd be chuckling a little. ]

I see, I see. But there's always those around you who can help you find it I hope? Nothing ever stays lost forever unless it was never there to begin with.

Almost anything tends to be, if we put our mind to it. [ He pauses. ] Forgive me for not introducing myself earlier; it seems amidst our conversation I forgot my manners! I'm Helios Sprensonne.

Ah are you from Japan? It's such a wonderful country it has such lovely culture and mythology to it.

It's a very strong nation.

It most certainly is! Such a very rich and long history. I've visited it many times, for students you see, and each time I always found something different to look into.

Ah Kyoto. I have some students from around there actually. It's a wonderful city.

Very vibrant. [ He's pretty damn fond of it, even if he'll never admit it 8| ] It could do with more order, though.

Especially with those cherry blossoms in bloom. I must say they're quite a sight. Order?
