ϡ - Chapter ThirtySix; The switch up [action|voice]

[ You can find Helios this week at his usual haunts. The library, tea shop, bakery and oddly enough at Cloud Nine. He might actually even have a drink or too.

He'll also be carrying around a very strange device with him as well. For all of you unawares of the latest 21st century technologies this is what we call a laptop. Helios loves his dearly and if he knows you well enough he might even let you touch her. But he's a bit clingly when it comes to his dear laptop so don't expect any free games of Spider Solitaire or what have you. HE HAS WORK TO DO. Okay, not really, but no one needs to know that. With tons of ~~illegally~~ downloaded material on his laptop it's hard to say that he's actually gotten bored. But two years and only having the same things to watch over and over again...well safe to say he is bored.

On one of the days he'll be found in the shops cataloging and taking inventory checking to see if anything new has cropped up or in general to see if the influx of items has changed at all. He has to keep busy somehow okay?

On Friday morning Helios will send out message to the entire village. The voice should be noticeable and clear enough. There aren't too many people with slight Romanian accents after all. And yet there's something fundamentally different about it too. No stuttering or uncertain questions. Just an underlying cordial and confident tone of voice. ] So, this is quite the strange week we're having, isn't it? People claiming others to be acting odd and all. Not really unexpected of Luceti though, I suppose calling it a shift would be proper now, given the information collected. [ Looking through the journals again...Helios has noticed some very big differences. ] Then there's the battledome. I don't know the details on that but if anyone would be so kind as to oblige me with them I'd be sincerely grateful for that. Oh, and if anyone would like a simulation created for them I'd be more than grateful to help you out with that. It's a bit finicky and I'm not sure if the controls were damaged in the process either. But there's only one way to really find out. I hope not though it really is an exquisite piece of technology...

[ He'll pause the tapping of a pen against against a desk the only sound. ] But onto something a little less business and a bit more...casual. [ All work and no play makes Helios a dull boy. ]

I've been thinking of having a game night. You know the usual. Poker, Black Jack, Solitaire, whatever ones you have in your world. Everything is welcome mind that you have the necessary materials to play it. And for the hell of it I think I'll hold a little session of Dungeons and Dragons too. [ A laugh on his end. ] But, yes, it'll be at House forty-four just behind the town square. And lets...make it for around eightish on Saturday. I think that should be suitable for everyone. You don't have to bring refreshments, we can provide, just bring yourselves your friends if you want and the insatiable appetite to vanquish demons, slay dragons- [ Oh right. Not getting into it, nope. He'll clear his throat. ] -and have fun, we'll hopefully being seeing you all on Saturday.

Sunny darling!

[Adele calls for a moment before poking her head into his room. No sense of boundaries on this woman. At all. Ever. She grins and walks over to loop her arms around his shoulders in a loose, easy hug. Yes, they were both shifted. She was more affectionate, and he didn't flinch at. Everything. She may as well take advantage.]

What is this about a party- you didn't say anything about Sabacc. I thought I'd taught you how to play that last month. Or was that Poker?

Adele! I see you've been...keeping busy. [ That little display over the journals earlier in the week was amusing. Helios doesn't flinch he doesn't even register it. At most he simply returns the hug with no cares whatsoever.

His smile widens. ] Anything is really welcome for it. I wouldn't mind playing Sabacc or Poker. Both would best, really. I'm pretty decent at Poker myself. [ Because playing any games from Star Wars that wasn't the actual card game and against actual jedis?! He'd get so many bragging rights when he went back home. Gods he loves Luceti sometimes. ]

You saw the chase on Monday. [She giggles and gives him a squeeze before just draping herself on him to peer at what he's working on at the desk. She didn't always get the technical jargon right off the bat, but she could work it out in time.]

I'll deal a few games, then. And I'm sure I can talk Ben, Ani, and Luke into coming, I know how much you'd enjoy having them there. Though I will have to make sure they don't cheat.

The question of the evening is who didn't see the chase on Monday. [ He just laughs looking back up at her with a smirk. He'll nod and type away on his computer then. It'll just be a skeleton of a list of things to get for the party. Drinks, mostly nonalcoholic, although there is a separate section for the alcohol. ]

That'll be great. I think if we get a full house it'll make the whole game night more enjoyable. Can't have anyone missing out after all. And yes you'll have to remind them that telepathy or...mind tricks are strictly off limits.

We did make a bit of a show, didn't we? [Looking back? She has to laugh. Well she was laughing at the time as well, even with the underlying cause.]

I'm certain they'll behave. Whether or not I do, well. I can't make any promises.

Yes you certainly made quite the impression on the community as a whole. I don't think people will be leaving their robes unattended around you. [ Just a smile on his face as he shakes his head. In one way it was bizarre because Adele being a jedi and so full of life was...interesting to see. And yet he knows, knows that she isn't normally like this. ]

Well at least you're giving me a heads up. Shall I assign you a chaperone for the evening then? [ Amused. ]

Not everyone's robes need fear theft. No one's actually. Ben made me promise not to do something so juvenile again. Nor do I normally need to resort to theft to get the attention of those I want to talk to. [She shrugs and settles back, leaving Helios in his chair and leaning against the wall next to him instead.]

Chaperone? I'm a grown woman Sunny darling, I don't need a Chaperone...besides. Ben'll probably do that on his own.

[ Helios will chuckle and wave her off. ] I know, I know. I was just kidding. [ Helios will make a grab for his water and take a long sip before looking back at Adele with a smile. ]

Is there anything in particular you want for food?

I am more of a party crasher than I am a party thrower Sunny Darling; I will have to follow your lead on this.

Well there's always room to learn you know? I've never sat in on a class about throwing parties. College was more of a...learn by example anyway. [ A laugh. ]

But it's fine. There's nothing wrong with that. I certainly hope you're going to crash this one though. [ Just teasing with a smirk as he looks over at her before closing his laptop and getting out of his seat. ]

Oh you know me Helios. If there is a party? I'll be there. If you want me there or not, even. [She chuckles and perches on the nearest available surface that wasn't A) His lap, B) the desk, or C) Anything remotely provocative. They were both different, yes, but some rules should be obeyed.]

Yes. It's one of your more uncanny jedi abilities, Adele. [ He'll stretch then and walk over to the door of his room holding it open for her. ] Care to join walking to the store to get somethings? I could use an extra set of hands if you don't mind.

Of course. I sense emotions, disturbances in the Force- and parties. [It makes her grin, this thought, if only for how odd Ben would find it. She hops down from whatever it was she perched upon and steps through the door as directed.] I would be happy to help Sunny Darling. Today has been fairly empty and I may as well be a little productive.

An extra payoff for that force training, I'm sure. [ Just said in an amusing tone of voice. Helios nods closing the door after she's in the hallway. ] Mm well I do appreciate the assistance. Not really the most fun of things to do to spend your time after all.

I do not mind helping. Besides, you keep introducing me to interesting foods, here. Even if the 'pop rocks' experiment went horribly, horribly wrong.

I always tried new foods as a part of the learning experience whenever I traveled. Luceti isn't any different I suppose. I mean you get an even wider selection when it's entirely new worlds taken into account.

[ It's one of the nicer aspects of his job. Not only being an informant but also traveling. He does enjoy it, used to do it with Elise a good deal too. ]

New food, new beverages, new men~ [Adele chuckles.] Mmm. Meeting new people and trying local cuisine was always my favorite part of traveling between worlds.

Traveling between new worlds sounds amazing, let alone all the people and foods you get to enjoy. How is it, flying through space? Or actually. How does it feel when you go warp speed?

[ This is important information!! ]

Were I able? It'd take you with me when I return. Well. Not to the core worlds, not now. Tourists aren't appreciated as much at the moment.

[She shrugs and keeps walking with a soft hum.]

Hmm. It's this jerk. Like a tug at the base of your spine, as though someone has taken a hook to it through your navel and given it a hard yank.

I'd love to see any world, actually. Whatever are most open to tourism of course. [ Doesn't want to get lightsaber'd or shot at thanks. He has enough excitement in his own job that a vacation shouldn't require the same amount. Nor the same type of excitement.

Helios hums thoughtfully at that. ] Sounds...uncomfortable. You could always come and visit Earth too, you know? I bet it'd take you a week tops to get across the galaxy going warp speed.

[ A laugh. Probably not entirely wrong. It'd depend on how fast they would be going though. ]

You still need to know where it is you'll end up, Sunny Darling. Without coordinates it would be impossible to find Earth. There's nothing in any of the records indicating such a planet exists, at least nowhere in the scope of exploration.

Then that just means no one has found it yet.

Perhaps you'll be the first then, hm?

[ Just a smirk as he opens the door to the item shop. He hadn't even realized they'd been walking that long. Intense conversations indeed. ] Out of the one's you've visited which planet was the most intriguing to you?

Possibly.

[A half smile. It wouldn't be her, not if what Luke has said was true. And it was. She steps through the opened door and waits for Helios to enter afterward]

Oh I can't pick a favorite Sunny Darling, they're all so much fun. Especially the core worlds- but. I think my home planet is the one I've always loved most. Naboo.
