I must thank everyone for when I arrived your help was much appreciated. Sonic, Ted, I don't know how else to thank you. I'll have to get used to this...journal thing however. It's very strange or I'm just very bad with this whole technology business! [ He laughs a lot, because it's so true. He clears his throat and continues. ]

I was wondering if there's any place I might be able stay? I've heard from some that there are apartments available. I wouldn't want to intrude on anyone, I'd feel just awful you see! So, er, does anyone know which are open?

[ Meanwhile as he's saying this, he's making a snowman outside in the eastern portion of the town since he's odd enough to brave the cold. If you're really good at noticing tiny details you'll see that the snow isn't melting as fast as it should, or not at all, within his hands he's also not very cold or showing signs of being affected. It's probably the only perk to your skin being devoid of all heat and practically corpse like. He then starts to hum a small tune, nothing recognizable, but it's still at least catchy and you all can hear it because he forgot to close his journal, this is likely going to happen a lot, derpy derp. ]

Oh I doubt it could be that cruel. After all, I'm sure the people of the village are capable of handling it if they stop complaining about the cold.

I think we would need lots of earmuffs if it happened. Working together might get rid of it faster, actually. As the saying goes two hands are better than one.

Just "Harmonia" in the non formal sense, though it is a theocracy.

It sounds like a lovely place. A theocracy, ah like the Vatican.

I've heard reference to that place before. I did a bit of reading and it honestly sounds fascinating, though the idea of monotheism seems a bit odd to me.

I suppose people have just grown used to it. Egyptians, Mesopotamian, Sumerians, Greeks they all believe in multiple gods and for their time it was normal as well.

I assume your world is polytheistic then?

In a way, yes. Our deities are also plainly apparent, rather than based on faith.

Yes. You see, in my world, we are governed over 27 embodiments of the forces of existence known as the 27 True Runes.

Intriguing. And each of these runes each represent a different deity, or er force, I'm guessing?

That would be correct. From physical elements to abstract concepts.

Very interesting. I suppose then you can use these elements? Like fire, water, wind, and earth?

To an extent. Each True Rune has countless "children" that take the form of crystals. A person trained to do so can take the child rune within these crystals and embed it in the flesh of a person, allowing certain gifted individuals to use the power contained within those runes.

That is truly amazing. I've never heard of such a thing being done before. But it does give you full control over the power, hm. But, ah, what happens if the power is too much for the individual? Is there any way of removing the rune should that be the case?

Hardly full control. No no, only those of sufficient talent, experience, and/or training can do that. Really, only magicians have that sort of skill. But as far as runes being too strong for a bearer, they simply won't attach, as far as I know. Though the ones that do attach can easily be removed by a Runemaster, the same people that attach them in the first place.

Ah that makes sense then! It doesn't sound so bad the way you put it. Oh I'm terribly sorry for asking you so many questions. This whole other world business is simply fascinating to me!
