ϡ - Chapter Seventeen; in which one becomes a dragon [action]

[ Anyone in the vicinity of Community Housing 7 will, at that moment, hear a very loud roar coming from apartment 22 on floor 5. The glass of the windows in the kitchen will shatter and go flying and there will be some smoke coming out from the windows. Also if you come to investigate you'll see deep claw markings in the door's entry way. Whoops Helios is honestly sorry about that Frederic. He'll apologize later for the mess and for waking you up, he was just startled, hence the roar which would have been a yell but you know...translations and all. He had to leave before he got any bigger and destroyed the entire apartment. At least the houses fix themselves.

There is a golden scaled dragon in your town today Luceti and it looks vicious, but honestly it's pretty derpy and harmless. Well besides his tail, which he still hasn't gotten control of just yet. You also might feel your room shake as he walks by your house/apartment complex. He's about the size of a large house and he's wearing glass which apparently changed with his size, the Malnosso like to joke don't they? You'll also see his tiny golden green tipped wings beside his more larger golden ones. It's a clue as to who it is but he'll answer you if you ask. This dragon is on a mission, albeit a futile one. You might see him walking a bit in the woods and eventually ending up in front of the Bakery. Sweets...he wanted some and now he can't even fit through the door. He'll be sitting on his hind legs, tail curled around him and a clawed hand rubbing his chin. Indiscreet? Never, not when baked goods are concerned. He's trying to devise a way to get in there...but without doing some serious damage there are no options. No matter he doesn't want to alarm anyone so sometime later he will make his way down to the lake and there he will be, talking to himself, and staying there for the majority of well...however long this decides to last. He's honestly not going to be able to make a voice post with huge vicious claws anytime soon. Besides he can probably be heard from anywhere anyway; his voice carries nicely in this form.
]

Oh for goodness sake I don't know how they deal with being this large. [ There's a pause and a snort. ] I suppose the experiment is still going on then. [ Another sigh though it sounds more like an annoyed growl. ] But they can change their forms into humans. I wonder if I can just get that right...and then there is the ring. [ He will just be babbling don't mind the brooding dragon, lounging beside the lake, tapping a clawed hand into the ground folks. He is merely thinking and when Helios thinks it's usually good...sometimes. But you might want to watch the tail it's swaying erratically because that thing has a mind of its own. ]

((ooc; So you can meet him at any point in time! The time continuum is pretty broken in this post. While he's walking, at the bakery, or in the woods by the lake just specify I guess. Also he's going to stick out like a sore thumb anywhere he goes anyway. I'll be replying with [livejournal.com profile] isthemyth for icon convenience. Also replies will be delayed since I has class~))

[Rokuta casts a wary eye on that tail and edges away slightly, but bobs a nod in the meantime.]

...normally.

[It's half a sigh; he really does hate the blow to his dignity this represents.]

[identity profile] isthemyth.livejournal.com 2010-12-01 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Ah I see. It's not very decent of them to give you such form! The nerve really, putting us both into these...bodies. [ He might not be too angry about being a dragon but he knows Kirin and how they are so he understands somewhat that you'd be displeased. ]

But I can't very well complain...I do like dragons rather a lot. They're very majestic creatures though I don't think I'm doing a very good job of portraying that. [ He is kinda awkward in this body, and derpy in general so the two don't mix. ]
entaiho: (i can ttly see you there)

[personal profile] entaiho 2010-12-01 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Hn. Never met a dragon before, so I really couldn't tell you.

[identity profile] isthemyth.livejournal.com 2010-12-01 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
I'm probably not the best example to go off of if this is your first time meeting one. [ He just gives another deep laugh. ]

I'm afraid I'm a bit out of sorts! But a Kirin hm. We've only had dragons here. Spyro if you ever get to meet him is one of them. Much smaller then myself right now, yellow horns, and purple. There was another dragon named Haku too.

[personal profile] entaiho 2010-12-01 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
[He shakes himself off and idly scuffs at the ground with one forehoof in a thoughtful gesture.]

There are only twelve kirin, where I'm from. One in each kingdom.

[Technically speaking, that is. Taiki is still missing, after all, the kirin of Kou has yet to be born, and then there's Hou. All a little too complicated to be discussing with a foreigner currently in the guise of a dragon.]

[identity profile] isthemyth.livejournal.com 2010-12-01 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm? Only twelve? [ His tail will be idly moving back and forth now. ] And that would mean there's...twelve kingdoms, correct? [ He'll look back at you again Rokuta. ]

But still a Kirin...it's an honor to be speaking with you. I have spoken to a few in my own world but never for long periods of time.
entaiho: (this is my thoughtful face)

[personal profile] entaiho 2010-12-01 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, that's correct.

[The idea of this person-dragon having met another kirin in his world most definitely has Rokuta's attention, though.]

There are kirin where you live? Is one of them black in color?

[identity profile] isthemyth.livejournal.com 2010-12-01 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh of course! There's all sorts of things, not just kirin. [ He'll tap a claw in the dirt again. But the dragon will merely shake its head. ]

I can't say for certain, I wouldn't want to say yes but--perhaps there was? It's been sometime since I've spoken to them in my world.
entaiho: (deep thoughts)

[personal profile] entaiho 2010-12-01 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[He shouldn't get his hopes up, Rokuta realizes; everyone here seems to come from worlds that are like and yet unlike the ones he knows. But the possibility that someone might have seen Taiki -- well, he'll need to keep this in mind.

Rokuta shifts restlessly, wanting to open a shoku there and then and go search, but... if he could do that, he would have returned home long ago. It was a frustrating reminder. Still, he bobs his head in something like a nod.]

That's interesting to know. Thank you.

[identity profile] isthemyth.livejournal.com 2010-12-01 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh it's no trouble. I just wish I could be of more help on the matter. [ A pause. ]

Were they a friend of yours?
entaiho: (look i'm hiding)

[personal profile] entaiho 2010-12-01 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[He hesitates briefly, looking out over the lake before he responds.]

He's been missing for some time now.

[identity profile] isthemyth.livejournal.com 2010-12-02 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh! Oh dear, I'm so sorry to have brought it up. It was rude of me. [ He would mention all sorts of people have the capability of being brought here...but it would probably only make it worse. ]
entaiho: (this is my thoughtful face)

[personal profile] entaiho 2010-12-02 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[He glances back sharply and shakes his head.]

No... no, not at all. I've just been searching for him without any luck. Any clue to his whereabouts would be good.

[identity profile] isthemyth.livejournal.com 2010-12-03 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
I'm sure you'll find him. People turn up in the most unexpected places. I think he'd be very grateful to know you're at least trying, hm?
entaiho: (sidelong look)

[personal profile] entaiho 2010-12-03 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
[Rokuta scrapes the ground with one hoof, tossing his head as though dismissing the subject.]

I'm certain.

Where is it that you're from?

[identity profile] isthemyth.livejournal.com 2010-12-03 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
Earth. Well, one of the many versions of Earth.
entaiho: (deep thoughts)

[personal profile] entaiho 2010-12-03 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
...hm. Doubt it's the one I know, then.

[identity profile] isthemyth.livejournal.com 2010-12-03 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
They do tend to differ a bit from one another. I am bit curious does yours have other mythical beings in it as well?
entaiho: (sidelong look)

[personal profile] entaiho 2010-12-03 05:34 am (UTC)(link)
[He gives an amused snort.]

The Japan I know is entirely normal. My home... well, perhaps much of it would be "mythical" to you.

[identity profile] isthemyth.livejournal.com 2010-12-03 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
So...I assume it's a world in connection with Earth. Something like a parallel world, correct? [ He'll blink looking at Rokuta curiously. ]
entaiho: (this is my thoughtful face)

[personal profile] entaiho 2010-12-03 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
[The dragon-person sure is curious about this. Well, not like it can hurt anything to explain -- and Rokuta misses his home, enough that he finds himself wanting to talk.]

I guess.

The worlds are connected, but usually the only bridge are shoku... storms that rise without warning, capable of catching people from one world and tossing them into the other. Kirin are the only ones who can really pass between easily or on purpose.

[identity profile] isthemyth.livejournal.com 2010-12-03 08:05 am (UTC)(link)
[ Do forgive him Rokuta. He's just naturally curious about everyone's worlds, especially when common mythologies are concerned. He'll listen intently though not saying a word until you finish. ]

That's an interesting method to bridging the gaps between the two worlds. I've never heard of anything like that before. But--ah the only way I ever got to see a parallel world was through a split in both realities.
entaiho: (look i'm hiding)

[personal profile] entaiho 2010-12-03 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[He would likely find a lot of other things about Rokuta's world to be very unusual - that's the usual reaction when kaikyaku get washed over from Hourai. Trying to explain taika would probably be a bit much, so he'll leave that for now.]

Shoku can be quite destructive, when they occur, but sometimes they're necessary.

You were already familiar with the idea of other worlds before arriving here?

[identity profile] isthemyth.livejournal.com 2010-12-03 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Necessary? But the people who get caught in it...mm no. I would hope that they occur in unpopulated regions.

Yes actually even if it was only with one. I would love to visit some people's worlds in the place. They sound rather fascinating.
entaiho: (deep thoughts)

[personal profile] entaiho 2010-12-03 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Not always, no.

[He paws at the ground with one forehoof, since he can't shrug; as a kirin he dislikes causing harm, but in some instances a shoku truly is necessary. Only when all other avenues have been exhausted, or in an emergency, but still....]

It might be interesting, though it's more urgent that I return to my own.
