ϡ - Chapter Seventeen; in which one becomes a dragon [action]

[ Anyone in the vicinity of Community Housing 7 will, at that moment, hear a very loud roar coming from apartment 22 on floor 5. The glass of the windows in the kitchen will shatter and go flying and there will be some smoke coming out from the windows. Also if you come to investigate you'll see deep claw markings in the door's entry way. Whoops Helios is honestly sorry about that Frederic. He'll apologize later for the mess and for waking you up, he was just startled, hence the roar which would have been a yell but you know...translations and all. He had to leave before he got any bigger and destroyed the entire apartment. At least the houses fix themselves.

There is a golden scaled dragon in your town today Luceti and it looks vicious, but honestly it's pretty derpy and harmless. Well besides his tail, which he still hasn't gotten control of just yet. You also might feel your room shake as he walks by your house/apartment complex. He's about the size of a large house and he's wearing glass which apparently changed with his size, the Malnosso like to joke don't they? You'll also see his tiny golden green tipped wings beside his more larger golden ones. It's a clue as to who it is but he'll answer you if you ask. This dragon is on a mission, albeit a futile one. You might see him walking a bit in the woods and eventually ending up in front of the Bakery. Sweets...he wanted some and now he can't even fit through the door. He'll be sitting on his hind legs, tail curled around him and a clawed hand rubbing his chin. Indiscreet? Never, not when baked goods are concerned. He's trying to devise a way to get in there...but without doing some serious damage there are no options. No matter he doesn't want to alarm anyone so sometime later he will make his way down to the lake and there he will be, talking to himself, and staying there for the majority of well...however long this decides to last. He's honestly not going to be able to make a voice post with huge vicious claws anytime soon. Besides he can probably be heard from anywhere anyway; his voice carries nicely in this form. ]

Oh for goodness sake I don't know how they deal with being this large. [ There's a pause and a snort. ] I suppose the experiment is still going on then. [ Another sigh though it sounds more like an annoyed growl. ] But they can change their forms into humans. I wonder if I can just get that right...and then there is the ring. [ He will just be babbling don't mind the brooding dragon, lounging beside the lake, tapping a clawed hand into the ground folks. He is merely thinking and when Helios thinks it's usually good...sometimes. But you might want to watch the tail it's swaying erratically because that thing has a mind of its own. ]

[ Indeed! But have no fear because dragon!Helios is rather preoccupied with getting into the woods. You can probably follow him if you want. ] Of all the times for that to happen. [ It's also muttering to itself. ]

[The combined curiosity from both him and them, after a short moment of consideration, lead to Kouki following the dragon. While he does, the Bels send him an idea.

...No, no, he doesn't want to find out, thanks.]

[ Well the dragon is going to take a seat in the outlying forested area, trying to orient himself before he figures out what to do...well with all this. He'll notice you then Kouki reptilian green eyes widening as he bends his neck down to get closer look. He tries to give an innocent enough smile, as toothy as it turns out to be. Really this is as awkward for him as for you probably. ] Oh he-hello! I didn't see you there.

Hello. [Wow, sharp teeth you got there. And yes, this is kind of awkward.] I don't see dragons like you around here, often.

[Spyro's small and doesn't cause that much of a noise, and Kouki would know if he saw a big dragon like Helios around.]

[ He gives a loud deep chuckle. ] I-I'm not usually a dragon, er, ever actually. [ He'll sit back straight then examining his claws and flexing them, his wings as well. Also that tail of his will be swaying back and forth. ]

I suppose it will take some time getting used to. Yes, sometime indeed.

Let me guess, experiment? [Rhetorical question is rhetorical. He looks over the dragon's body, taking in the powerful looking features and limbs.]

Does this mean you can breathe fire?

Er...y-yes. [ He'll let out an annoyed sounding growl along with a snort, which might cause some smoke to erupt from his nostrils. ]

I'm not...sure. Possibly? I haven't gotten down the feel of things quite yet.

You can probably do it with some practice.

[He can feel them moving and quickly try to strengthen his defences.] ...

Practice? Hm, you have a point. I should try flying as well. You're only a dragon once after all! [ Another rumbling laugh. ] But, ah, I rather do it somewhere with less trees around. [ He will look both ways trying to find a clearing or perhaps somewhere else he could go. ]

Flying? It'll be great if you can fly with wings that can actually supports you. [Recalling how Kamina's attempt of getting him, Kouki, to fly.]

[While Helios look for that clearing, the Bels start slamming for control. Kouki wince at the sudden assault.]

[ He'll be preoccupied for the moment getting up from his position, but taking care to not get close to Kouki due to his size and all. ] Ah! Over there! There's a clearing which might be good. [ He'll turn back to regard Kouki, only get a brief glimpse of that wincing. His eyes narrow a little as he drops his head closer to the other. ] Are you alright?

I'll...I'll be alright in a moment. [His blue eyes flicker red and back to normal. Calm down, remember Naoya's instructions... Another 'slam', another wince.]

[ He gives a rather concerned look and a loud rumble in his throat. That was supposed to be a hum but it's all translating a little weird in this form. ] Are you sure? Perhaps, ah, I could bring you to the Clinic?

[Gives a reassuring smile.] I'm sure.

[--!]

[He looks back up at Helios with red eyes and an unsettling smile.]

Flap your wings thrice. [The tone of his voice is different, powerful and authoritative. Most demons from his world would be compelled to follow. Question is, would Helios follow it?]

Wh-what? [ He'll back up, despite being three times the size of the other. The trees behind him crack and groan as he pushes them due to his weight. There's an odd feeling coming from this young man and he almost feels compelled to do so. His wings outstretch as he stands at half height. He'll flap them once and then shake his head, a low snarl issuing from his mouth.

He didn't mean to snarl at you though and he turns away tail whipping erratically out from behind him. ] S-Stop.

How bothersome. This power cap and his ridiculous choice. [If he got Babel's power, instead of Kouki given it away to those stupid humans, he'd be more powerful.]

Didn't you hear me? Flap them thrice.

[How far can his commands go in this damned village?]

Why are you-- [ He'll try to make them not flap but it's getting harder to concentrate. Another small growl as he flaps them again. ] --why are you doing this? H-How are you doing this? [ If it was some sort of magic he could possibly cancel it out with his own, because he's never heard of anything that deals with controlling dragons. Besides a summoning pact and that was definately not the right thing for this. Then again the young man whom he was speaking with was not the same when they first began to speak. ]

[He watch him struggle against his command.] Against such a simple command...[What's the harm in telling? Kouki want a normal life, not him.] All demons follow their King, why wouldn't you?

[ Helios' eyes narrow at those words and maybe, just maybe, he'll flash some teeth. ] Demons? But dragons aren't... [ different worlds, different rules. ]

Ah I see then. In your world perhaps they are. But in mine the two beings are different entirely. [ Though the are texts that interchange devil and dragon. Which might be why this person's commands weren't working. ] You're not same boy I was speaking to earlier, are you?

Of course. I'm not like that weak human.

[He really can't do much with these limitations, and he can feel Kouki fighting back.]

He's not worthy of being the King, throwing it all away for some stupid humans! [His eyes flicker blue.]

He mustn't be very weak if he's been able to fend you off. [ He sounds displeased in all honesty. Those words though... ]

Why do you say that? Humans...aren't as weak as we may seem.

[He can vaguely remember that time, long ago, when the Bels used to be one. Before he got overthrown and scattered into pieces. The memory reminds him of his hatred for the one responsible.]
