ϡ - Chapter Eleven; when your world comes crashing down [accidental voice/action]

Oh I do hate all this fighting business...why have they all come fro-[ There's the snapping of twigs and branches, maybe even some trees as something large makes its way towards Helios. A small gasp escapes him, because he's now face to face with a very angry, very large dragon. ]

Who dares summon me, E-Mun Ra?

Ra? No, no this is not good at all. You're not-oh...oh no. You came through as well? [ Something is definately wrong with the dragon god Helios usually called a 'friend' though even that term is a bit strained in their world and certainly now. ] Ra stop this please I don't want to fight you. There's no need for us to fight! [ Suddenly a very loud roar erupts from the dragon's throat, you'll most likely hear it from anywhere nearby and of course over the journal's transmission. ] You dare speak to me like some tamed mutt?



This is wrong, all wrong. This place must have done something to you. Ra it's me why don't you remember? [ There's a loud crack and then an ominous groan as a tree is snapped in half. Helios's shout is cut off by the noise, his journal having been knocked away so now most things will sound distant. The smell of brimstone and burning wood will slowly drift through the air as black fire collides with a light barrier only to ricochet and scorch the surrounding earth. Helios will duck, but barely, out of the way a large clawed as it shatters the ground which it collides into. He'll send off a jet of lightning straight at the shoulder of the black dragon but Ra merely laughs it off. Another belch of fire is sent rushing towards the blonde and Helios will raise up the torn up ground in front of him effectively blocking most of the attack, however his right arm is caught in the licking flames. ] You humans are good for nothing but worship and sacrifices!

[ There's a yell of pain as Helios takes a blow. He's panting and his voice sounds pained though because of injury or because he has to fight Ra is indiscernible. ] Ra you...you will obey me! I'm ordering you to stop right now! Stop it, please! I won't let you hurt anyone here, do you understand? You will not hurt them! In that condition you still wish to fight me? Your will is stronger than I thought or perhaps you are just foolish.

Perhaps I am, but you know...I know your weakness, friend. [ The silence that follows is like a calm before the storm and then...] Caelum sanctus lancea! [ Ra will let out a pained roar as the lance hits it in the chest. The impact and strength of the spell wounds the dragon just enough so that it falls to the ground, red silted eyes glaring with hatred, anger and then subtle recognition. ] I'm sorry old friend I wish it hadn't come to this, you know? I could really use your help. You will pay dearly for this Helios Sprensonne.

I've paid enough for it already; you of all should know that. Now would you please help me? I'll...give you something in return if you do. Deception is first nature to your kind, but I will concede for now. You are at least a worthy opponent. I thought you'd never give in, you're so very stubborn sometimes. Oh! Oh dear...was this on the entire time? [ He sounds tired as the crackling of twigs and leaves fill the transmission. There's the ruffling of clothing as he picks up his journal about to say something but the peace, if one can call it that, is short lived as Helios drops it again. ] Behind you, there are more of them! Wh-what?! [ A multitude of creatures cry out simultaneously as they prepare to attack but the feed will abruptly cut off. ]

[ OOC; Bold is Ra for reference. So! Varying mythological beasties have surrounded Helios and Ra. Since Helios's left side is currently pretty badly injured, the left side of his face and arm are both covered in blood, making him capable of only seeing 50% while his left arm is barely usable at the moment. Both have suffered some big injuries so they'll need all the help they can get! Anyone nearby is welcome to help anything from this list can be thrown into threads and fought/tamed/defeated which ever you prefer! Have at it folks! ]

[A shadow passes overhead, having heard the dragon's roar from a distance, arriving just in time to catch sight of the two of them, surrounded by creatures. Then Naoki's shouting down, shifting up to stand on the demon (http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/megamitensei/images/b/b2/Samael.png) who's back he's currently riding on.]

Helios! [He gestures to another (http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Quetzalcoatl) at his side and its eyes light up. It shrills out a sound as a wave of healing energy falls over both dragon and man down below.] Hold tight! [A crackle of fire forms between his palms, at the same time a thunderbird (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunderbird_%28mythology%29) comes sweeping up toward him.]

[ He'll definately hear that and he's a bit relieved too as an attack from a snow spirit barely misses him. He'll counter with a spell hitting the woman directly in the face and with it it'll screech rearing backward and away from him. ] Naoki? Naoki!

[ He feels the healing energy take a hold of him and even Ra shifts in composure standing higher, prouder and more menacing. Ra will roar once more a jet of fire aimed at another different creature heading for you Naoki. ] Watch out for him! We're not trying to fry him!

We? I do not see you doing much at all you weakling. You could at least put forth some effort. You're as insufferable as ever Ra! At least that will never change!

[Samael bares its teeth as the fire comes too close, beating its wings to propel them sideways. The Quetzalcoatl swoops forward to intercept the griffin, slamming it back and sending a burst of energy through it's body and then circles down to flutter its way around Ra and Helios.

It sends out tight little bursts of energy at whatever wanders too close. Naoki curls the fire tighter around his palms, sends it out in a blast to scorch the thunderbird away.]

Are you alright? We--c'mon, we gotta get you outta there!

[ Helios will nod turning to the other creatures which are now at bay due to the display of prowess from their attackers. It's a brief window of opportunity and he'll gladly take it; his body aching from using so much magic in such a short amount of time. ] I-I'm fine. We should definately leave, there's too many for just the two of us to handle like this.

[ As much as he would like to try and quell the beasts he's become so fond of, words seem to do little in getting through. Weary he turns to Ra who snorts out a jet of black smoke. ] I will keep them at bay while you escape. Go, now before I change my mind.

[Naoki thumps the side of Samael's neck and the demon folds its many wings to spiral downward, swooping into a coil in front of Helios, head lowered a little, many eyes gleaming. The teen shifts and extends a hand down toward him for him to take.]

[ He'll take Naoki's hand, with his right because despite the healing spell his left side is still pretty bad off at the moment. Another demon or two begin to surge forth but a large clawed hand from the dragon sends them sprawling outward and away from Naoki and Helios. ] Don't kill them, just...keep them at bay.

[ He sounds tired and weak almost sighing as he gets up on Samael. ]

[Naoki lifts him effortlessly up on Samael's back as the demon snorts and unfurls its wings, flapping them.] Quetzalcoatl! [The other demon flits up to follow as Samael sweeps up into the air.]

Helios, do you need more healing?

[After setting himself free from his previous unusual captors, Ted had taken up wandering around as his solution for now. The sight of a battle was enough to make him pause and look, eyes immediately widening at the sight of a bloody Helios. There was a moment of hesitation, especially at the sight of his enemy, but worry overpowers that sense of fear for a moment, and Ted quickly heads over there, pulling his glove off and muttering an incantation in an attempt to freeze the monster long enough. He needed to get that man out of there.]

[ Not to worry Ted, Helios has an adorable a dragon protecting him, or at least not so willingly protecting him, from the swarm of mythological creatures. With one swipe of it's tail Ra will effectively knock back a few of the surrounding foes. And Helios will throw out spells as a few different creatures attack. Though your freezing a few of them will be graciously appreciated. ]

[Freezing it is then! He doesn't waste any time aiming for the biggest group he could and making sure they're all within range, before large icicles come out from the ground and aim at them.] What are you doing out here, you idiot! [Why does he feel like he's been calling so many people that in this week alone?]

[ Baw Ted why you gotta be like that? ] Wh-what do you mean I was just- [ He'll just duck out of the way of a stray demon trying to attack him before launching another holy spell at the beast. ]

I was just trying to make sure nothing was out here! And then...all this. [ Happened, yeah, That's a bad excuse for his curiosity too but oh well. ]

[He sends out another powerful ice spell, dodging another monster immediately to get to Helios. His face is stern, and it's obvious he is holding back from yelling any more than he should.] Do you think you'll be able to move then? We need to get you out of here.

O-oh yes, yes I'll be fine. I just...need to rest a little. [ He'll turn to the black dragon who is regarding Ted with a wary eye. ] It's alright, he's a friend, Ra.

[Wonder Woman is flying around the village, making her rounds and looking for people who might have gotten caught fighting a monster, when she sees the huge-ass dragon and Helios. Unfortunately, she just caught the tail-end of their battle, and was unable to protect Helios from the dragon's blow. Though she does watch in amazement as he retaliates, remembering the conversation they had about him not being a fighter.

But Diana stops hovering in midair when she notices that even more creatures have surrounded Helios, and she dives over to help him.]

[ Oh well that voice certainly takes him by surprise and he'll spin around just as you make your way over. He laughs sheepishly his left arm hanging by his side limp and dripping blood; his left eye is also closed due to the cuts sustained. ]

I-I'd hate to be a bother, but ah...yes. [ He'd put up more of a fuss but really he's in no condition at the moment. Ra will be lashing out a group of banshees knock all of them away and roaring hoping to keep the other beasts away. ] Stop your chattering and help me you imbecile, there are more coming.

[Unfortunately, she has no demon to help her fight the beasts, but what she lacks in accomplices she makes up for in sheer strength, for a Wonder Woman not under a powercap is a formidable opponent indeed.

She plows through the creatures who are fast approaching Helios by flying into them, then subsequently attempts to make short time of the rest of the monsters through a combination of speed, strength, and her knowledge of martial arts. She did tell Helios she was a warrior. Or at least implied it.]

[ And he'll clearly see her warrior side now which he's somewhat grateful for. He's not one for fighting at any rate the help is met with grateful open arms. ] There's too many! We-we should go. [ He's taking more faster breaths than before because the use of his magic and wounds are compounding on each other. This is a battle they can't hope to win. ]

Right. [Diana turns to the dragon.] Are you able to fly? [Because if he can't, she'll probably be able to lift both the dragon and the man into the air.]

[ The dragon will just move it's mouth into something of a sneer teeth bared and red eyes flickering with a subtle anger. ] I'm not dead yet, human. I can still at least fly; as if a wound like this would impede me that much. [ Helios will just laugh a bit nervously. ]

Come now Ra there's no need for that. [ Helios turns to Diana an apologetic look on his face as he walks over to the dragon and haphazardly gets on, Ra making no effort to help. ] We'll be alright then.

[ There's a reddish whip that Helios is using no and each slash of it cuts into flesh and skin of the creatures trying to attack him. Panting he hears Allen call out in the distance, and can't help but crack a small smile. A shout escape him as he barely dodges another assault from a demon. Using the whip forged out of his own blood he strikes at the demon knocking it away into the clawed hand of Ra who swats it away like a fly. ]

Allen? Is that you? [ He asks back turned towards the other. He'd divert his attention but in his condition he can't afford to have any openings. ]

Helios? Ah—please watch out!

[ He'll turn and cover his eyes with his good arm because geez that is one bright light! Helios will be making his way off towards Allen and well Ra will be keeping the other beasts at bay. ]

This is certainly turning out to be a mess. [ He'll laugh but there's little to no humor in it. ]

[ He'll move away from you Allen so you can cover that end and he'll cover your back as well. His eyes glow green once more as he turns to shoot a lightning spell at another beast. ]

I'm not sure. It might have been due to Ra and me fighting. I just wish they would listen to reason and stop!
