folklorist | ϡ - Chapter Nine; Taking Action [voice/action]

[ For anyone in Community Housing Seven you'll be glad to know Helios has now erected a fully functioning barrier around it. The Tease in the vicinity will only be greeted with getting knocked back from barriers bluish electrified blast, either destroying them completely or just simply knocking them back a few feet and stunning them. So it's like a giant bug zapper...yeah.

Helios himself will be outside of the housing complex, his right arm crudely bandaged, because it's bleeding quite a bit, though not to worry it's all self inflicted. ~~And no he's not emo, okay.~~ His left hand is covered in freshly drawn blood as he's kneeling down on the ground to finish up a circular seal. He lets out a sigh sitting upright against the front of the building. Wiping the sweat from his forehead he then takes out his journal to make an announcement.

Guess who sounds really, really tired? If you guessed him you get five hundred points! It comes with the blood loss. There's also a stunned Tease by his side with odd markings on it that match the markings within the seal. Unfortunately it comes back to life starts to bite at him. He'll reel backwards from it, dropping his journal on the ground, and putting his hand up to defend his face. That's what he gets for merely stunning the thing to make the seal and not finishing the job. ]

Ack! Pesky little thing aren't you? Very well, I'd rather have it not come to this-but you leave me no choice! [ And a burst of fire erupts from his hand effectively eliminating said Tease to nothing but ash. ]

For anyone, caught outside right now or too far from their current residence, please come to community house number seven. There's enough room to at least accommodate some, and there is protection. [ A pause with another tired sigh. ]

First those trees, now this. My what a week it's been! Never a dull moment, hm Luceti?

[ Psh that's in comic books. This is magic and totally real. ]

Hm, oh yes- I'm-I'm fine. A bit tired is all. [ He'll walk over to you now. ] Are you alright, dear? None of those things bit you did they?

I'm fine!

[ A bit concerned, it's not something that he really thought he'd feel for strangers but these people are all going out of their way to help each other in one way or another. Alice will reach for his uninjured arm to support him a bit. ]

You protected this place and announced it to people...you should just rest for now.

Good, good! [ Another sigh manages to escape from his lips. He might twitch at that move to support him, but it's nothing really, just an unconscious movement. ]

You're definately right about that. I am a bit worn out, and it's no good if I end up fainting!

[ He's not really that observant so that will probably go unnoticed or he'll brush it off as a tired twitch. ]

Definitely not. People here are too quick to put themselves in danger for others.

[ You kind of summed him up in a nice little statement. But no matter he'll still laugh it off. ]

Oh I don't think they realize it till they've actually done something. Heat of the moment, you know? [ His facial features with exhibit a soft smile now. ] Besides if we don't help one another out...I think surviving here would be very hard.

[ He shakes his head. Nope, he doesn't get it. It's not something he thinks he'd do. ]

Probably but...that doesn't mean you have to be the doorman as well. Just sit down somewhere.

Oh. Right, yes! [ He'll make his way over to some steps on the building, sighing and sitting rather abruptly on them. Ahh resting is so nice sometimes. ] I do hope everyone else is alright though.

[ He's fidgeting a little, he can't help it though! He's definately worried but the pain from his arm makes him stop and wince. ]

[ Okay, that's enough fidgetting that he'll notice. ]

I'll keep an eye on the journal, if someone needs a safe place I'll tell them about the protected buildings.

[ It's not that he's really going out of his way to help. It's just that's something even he can do in relative safety. ]

Just relax, people know what's going on now...it should just get better.

[ He'll look back at you with a smile. ] Really? Thank you then. I'm sure if anyone will be appreciative it's everyone in this place, even if it's something as simple as directing them to safety.

[ Helios will nod because you're definately right about that. ] Ah, your name? I never did get.

Just stay still then. [ Because the last thing he needs is someone keeling over in front of him, he can't do anything about that. ]

It's Alice.

Ah! I will, I will! [ He's just laughing fff! ]

Alice. [ That's an odd name for a boy, but he's heard worse. ] It's nice to meet you then! I'm Helios.

[ Flatly, ] I'm a guy. [ Because people keep asking the past few days. ]

...would be nicer without the bugs but sure.

[ Helios will stare at you before laughing. ] Oh dear you poor thing! I never doubted that for a second! But given the nature of people I'm not surprised at the reaction.

[ Stop laughing, now he's embarrassed. ] Well...good then.

[ He'll clear his throat noting that. ] Ah, but yes. I don't think I've seen you around much. Are you new here?

Yeah...I've been here almost a month.

Oh dear, you must not be liking it very much. [ Just a light laugh as he goes and rests his head against the building's side. ] It's usually not this bad- er, well I mean besides those experiments.

[ A wry grin. ] You're probably right, I should hate this place.

But I don't really. [ Even after life threatening events, what's wrong with him? ]

It's not really worse or better than where I come from I guess.

Not all people do, I find this place rather intriguing to be honest. Oh is that right? And where exactly do you hail from?

[ You are speaking to a man who is too curious for his own good sometimes. You will not get away without telling him more. ]

[ You know, that question is beginning to make him feel ridiculous. But he answers anyways. ]

Wonderland? As in the Madhatter and White Rabbit, Wonderland?

[ Major twitching at the mention of Madhatter and the White Rabbit. ]

Yeah, that one.

[ He notes that and frowns. ]

I see, I see. It must be something.

[ Notes the frown. ] I'm a guy, seriously.

[ A sigh. Stupid book, he's going to have to read it so that he can have a better idea what people are thinking when he says that. ]

Yeah, it's "something" can't say I know what.

[ Just chuckles. ]

There could be worse things!

It's a wonderful story, I fancy it quite a lot myself. [ He looks off towards the barrier again. ] Perhaps a bit too much. [ Er, yeah he kinda pulled the Jabberwock out of the book and it's now going to his school as a student. ]
