folklorist | ϡ - Chapter Eight; A Midsummer Night's Read

( Four days will quickly steep themselves in nights;
Four nights will quickly dream away the time;
And then the moon, like to a silver bow
New bent in heaven, shall behold the night
Of our solemnities.

A woman will be portrayed, followed by a yellow moon and glistening stars filling an otherwise blackened void of a sky. )

[ If you're in the library today you can find Helios seated at one of the tables with his face neatly plastered to a book. Rainy days are always good days to read it seems, and today is no exception! However if anyone passes by him during his re-reading of a certain play they'll see varying figures playing out their roles, and the play itself, as he reads through it. So you'll basically get a free show via his mind! Reading yet another portion of A Midsummer Night's Dream in his head will promptly be dictated to you all, via voice transmission because Helios fails and always has his journal by him or unintentionally open, and anyone walking by will see the golden text scrolling above his head, with pretty pictures of characters to boot. ]

( And, as I am an honest Puck,
If we have unearnéd luck,
Now to escape the serpent's tongue,
We will make amends ere long:
Else the Puck a liar call.
So good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
And Robin shall restore amends.

A figure akin to this is then portrayed. )

[ Anyone is free to comment and wonder about what the hell it is he's thinking about. ]

[Oh yes, Naoki's in the library--just got there, in fact, and flicks water off his hands, combing a hand through messy hair. The images catch his eye and he pauses. Then he smiles enormously.

And, without hesitation, he unabashedly stares and watches, eyes shining.]

That sounds really nice. Like the Great Deku Tree... What is it?

[ Rainy days are the best kind of days to get out and move, so Matsuri's exploring Luceti and the library is one of her stops. Closing her umbrella, she tucks it into a plastic umbrella cover before moving further into the library.

She's getting better at not being distracted by weird pings on her senses, but the images and words she sees interests here so she stops walking and just watches on. ]

[ He heard that thought and recognizes the voice readily. So he's going to look up, blink, and then smile as he sees none other than Naoki standing there. ]

Ah, Naoki! How are you today? (Good I hope.)

[ Give him a minute because he wasn't expecting anyone to hear that over the transmission. So he might have jumped a little at your voice. Also he isn't quite getting it yet so, yeah, derpy derp. ]

(How did they- OH! Dear...)

Haha I must have left this journal on again. (Great Deku Tree...hm.) It's a play, written by William Shakespeare. A Midsummer's Night Dream to be more specific. (One of my favorites...)

[Oswald is, for once, actually at the library to get some books. And then he sees this free show, and while he doesn't really have any idea what it's about, it's entertaining to watch :|a]

...Wow.

[Aww, Helios. Naoki beams at him when he notices that thought, a happy little appearing in his bubble. He walks closer to the table.]

I'm good! How about you, Helios?

[ And he'll be finishing that play and sighing a slight smile on his face as he does so. Another few images of faries and even the globe theatre spring up above his head. Leaning back in his chair he finally notices the other. ]

Oh! Hello there. [ He smiles cordially at Matsuri. ]

[ He finally notices that bubble with !? appearing in his own. He's slow on the uptake (understatement) so he finally looks above at his own head, and then laughs. ]

Oh my it seems this is what everyone has been talking about! (What an interesting little experiment...)

I'm doing wonderful! Thank you for asking. It has been awhile since I've read any great works, and what better than to do so during a rainy day.

[ Sup Oswald! They haven't met in person before but he does recognize the voice, albeit it'll take him a few seconds to place a name. But he won't look up just yet. ] (That voice sounds familiar...)

It's a wonderful play! I readily recommend it to anyone, especially here. I'm certain a few people would enjoy it-

Yup, this is it, alright. Heh, I kind of don't mind it too much anymore. []

Rainy days are great for reading. [Naoki pulls out a chair opposite his at the table, sitting down and nodding to the book.] I love A Midsummer Night's Dream--it's my favourite play of his.

Probably. There's enough people living here at this point that at least someone will.

[ Matsuri applauds softly - it's a library, after all - as it ends. ]

That was wonderful!

[Since Kazune pratically lives in the library, there's no way he'll miss something as entertaining as this!

So you might feel someone staring at you while you read and think all that.]

(Isamu?) Ah an acquaintance of yours?

[ Helios smiles looking back at the book as well. ] Mm. I always found it to be captivating. Love is ever so complicated. Puck was always one of my favorite characters. A bit of a troublemaker in this story! (And at the school as well. Do hope he isn't doing anything too bad.) [ He chuckles a little. ]

[ Sheepish smile and a soft laugh. ]

Ah, thank you very much miss! Are you a fan of Shakespeare as well?

I've read a little. Is that your favourite story?

Oh yeah--he's from home. He showed up this month. []

[Naoki nods vehemently in agreement, before staring at the thought bubble. Lowering his eyes to his face, rubbing the back of his neck with a smile.]

Mm yes that is true. You can never too many people with similar interests! [ He smirks. ]

Funny you say? I think his other play, The Comedy of Errors, is a bit more inclined towards that! (What with the puns, wordplay, and mistaken identity business.)

[ Oh he does feel it, and he will look up from his book smiling a characterized derpy smile. His mind will flash some more mythological creatures and even a wooded like scenery as he recalls the play in his head. ]

Hello there!

[He'll nod in response, but Kazune is fairly interested in watching that at the moment. Oh how he missed movies.]

Oh of my few personal favorites, yes!

From home? That's wonderful! You must have been excited when he came here!

[ He notices Naoki's thought bubble as well, but he merely laughs and waves it off. ]

Him and Loki are always at it; challenging each other when April fool's approaches and all that. [ He sighs, a sweat drop appearing in his own thought bubble. ] (It makes it interesting, though I wish the pranks they pulled weren't so...realistic.)

[ And then he'll notice what exactly the other is looking at. ]

Oh my! I didn't even notice! [ He'll laugh a little. ] It seems I've been putting on a little show, haven't I? (How fantastic, and interesting! This must be part of the whole experiment business going on...)

[ He grins anyway with a nod.] Um, if you ever get a chance to meet him, don't mind him too much. He can be kind of [] prickly sometimes.

[...Brb, now staring amusedly at that sweat drop. Are you an anime character, Helios?] Huh, really?
