ϡ - Chapter Five; live to see another day [action/voice]

[ After his little skirmish with Aku Helios is pretty beat up no other way to describe it. He's left a nice little trail of blood from his point of escape and currently resting behind one of the buildings. Arms, and legs cut up pretty good from one of his own attacks even, how embarrassing. Using so many spells at once is taking its toll too even if they were dampened by this place. He doesn't notice as he hits the journal's voice function because he'd hate for anyone to hear this. His breath is labored and breaking up his soft spoken sentence which is to no one but himself. ]

I'm s-sorry...I wasn't able to...help.

[ He just needs a moment to recuperate or if anyone spots him back there a quick healing spell will do just fine. He doesn't want to bother anyone otherwise it was his decision after all to fight. ]

[Frederic heard his friend over the journals and traced it back to where Helios is now.]

Mister Sprensonne!

[Running over to Helios' body, he places his hands over him and begins to heal him.] Sacred Signature!

[ Oh dear he didn't really mean for anyone to hear that. Darn these pesky journals and his complete lack of knowledge in using them. He opens his eyes and watches from his position, that healing spelling making him sit up a tad bit more straighter albeit he winces a little from the cuts. ]

Ah. Mister Chopin, haha. I'm terribly sorry...for you to have to do this.

[Frederic helps his friends in need. Sighing, he sits back and watches Helios straighten up and makes sure no other cuts are still bleeding.]

If someone I know is in need of assistance, I will not hesitate to help them. What happened to you anyway? Your injuries were quite severe.

Ah you're a truly a wonderful friend Fredric, thank you. I'm...in your debt, really. [ His gazes diverts to the ground almost as if he's thinking. ]

Hm I'm not sure what to call him, a shadow comprised of darkness perhaps? I've encountered similar beings before but none quite like that. Aku is his name apparently. He set the grocery on fire...these people's don't deserve that, no one does. I couldn't just let him... [ He sighs leaning his head back against the wall. ] I would have rather not have fought but reasoning seemed useless. I think everyone managed to get out safely though, thank goodness for that!

[He gazes at Helios and smiles a little.] You're most welcome, Helios. But you are no debt to me, you've already repaid it by being my friend.

A shadow of darkness named Aku. [He ponders on this and his eyes go into a glare.] If I ever find him again, I will make sure he pays for doing this to everyone. I will not let such a monster roam about this village causing chaos. I would use my logic to reason with him, but you said it was useless. So instead, I will use my magic to rid the village of this beast.

Your friend? [ He smiles at that. ] I see then. Then I'm most certainly lucky to have you as one.

He's formidable to fight alone. Working together however we might be able to put a stop to him.

You seem truthful and honest when speaking with me. So for that, I consider you as someone worth giving my trust to. I know I may seem rather distant and cold at times, but I have my reasons for that.

Your logic is more than correct. Perhaps once your wounds are healed, we could fight him together.

[ He's going to try and get up now a bit wobbly but using the house as support is making that easier. ] I find it to be uncouth to do otherwise especially with a man such as yourself. Besides do unto others as you would like done to you. There's no need to explain I understand entirely.

[ He nods taking a few steps forward. ]I agree. Some rest would be best for now.

[He grabs Helios' shoulder gently to help his friend get around a little easier, since he's worried about Helios falling over again.]

I want to help you back to your home, it's dangerous in your condition to try and walk about alone. You're still a bit injured and I worry if this Aku will come after you again.

[That catches a still-woozy Naoki's attention. His voice sounds a bit faint; being injured sucks.] H...Helios?

[Voice]

[ He can totally sympathize you poor thing. His voice sounds tired and a bit surprised. ] Naoki? Oh...dear. It was on this entire time? [ He sighs. ] You don't sound very well, are you all right?

[ If he wasn't so damn drained he'd go find you himself and try out some of his healing magic. ]

[His voice is a bit rough and halting as he speaks.] Mn, I'll be okay...the Chief'll look after me.

Did you fight, too...?

Chief? Ah that's good then, very good. [ There's a pause his voice sounding dour the answer being 'yes' does not sit well with him. ]

I did. I...tried to delegate with him I do ever so hate fighting. Another way...I was looking for one but...I did manage to find a weakness I believe. At least it wasn't all for naught.

[Voice]

Yeah... [A brief pause as Naoki takes a few breaths, trying to focus on his words.] Are you going to be okay?

[A pause.] At least you...found something like that. I didn't manage to do much... Just--acted on instinct. Haha...

[Voice]

Huh? Oh! Oh yes I'll be quite alright no need to worry! I might be old but I'm tough! [ He laughs even though it doesn't sound as jumpy or lively as usual. ]

It wasn't much, really, but hopefully it'll be useful. Holy magic I found is most efficient.

Mm I think Hyt, the light spirit here, might be of use. I hope there isn't a next time but the blatant disregarded for others... [ Another sigh passes over the transmission. ]

[Well, Regal can't exactly miss spotting that trail of blood, so he's going to follow it to its source and immediately race over to the man and kneel beside him, preparing to heal him.]

What on earth happened?

[Action] it's okay!

[ That startles him a bit to opening his eyes and shifting with a slight wince to look back at you Regal. ]

A...being named Aku...attacked the grocery store. Several people have tried to ah... [ a tired sigh. ] stop him. He's powerful though.

[Action] yay!

So that is what caused that fire... and you say he's still on the loose?

[He'll be hovering his hands over the worst of the injuries now; after a moment his hands will emit a soft green light as the chi goes into effect, and Helios should feel a warmth and a lessening of the pain.]

[ He sighs and nods his head a little that lessening pain and warmth is really doing the trick. ] I'm terribly sorry to have you do this, haha I over estimated my strength.

Yes unfortunately. I don't know if the others there were able to stop him.

[Action] I am failing at hiatus so hard right now XD

It's no trouble at all. I'm just glad I can do something to help during all of this. But if there are others who are fighting him, I may end up having more healing to do yet.

[He withdraws his hand once the healing is finished.]

There, how does that feel?

[Action] I'm failing at studying for a test tomorrow soo GO US!

It's very generous of you especially when it was my choice that got me into this mess.

[ He moves his arms only wincing a little but they were loads better than before that's for certain. He nods getting up from the ground by using the building for support. ]

Here. [Always the gentleman, he's going to extend a hand to help the other man up.] I am Regal Bryant-- it is a pleasure to meet you, Helios. I believe I have seen you around before; please forgive me for not introducing myself sooner. There are so few of us adults around, after all.

[Action] AW YEAAAH! And now I'm playing Bioshock instead of studying

[ And he'll take the others hand forgetting that his skin is a bit colder than most, almost corpse like actually. His disposition seems to get better though and he chuckles at Regal's words. ]

Oh it's no problem at all! You have a point. We seem to be outnumbered I'm afraid. It's a pleasure to meet you Mr. Bryant. I wish it had not been under such circumstances however.
