[ Well, well, well what do we have here? Helios is in the plaza today just...taking in the sheer amount of people that seem to have come in overnight. Unfortunately the real Helios has been mallynapped prior to all this madness. So, yes, your Helios is in another facility being experimented on. However! This Helios is the real Helios as well so he is...just going to be derping around for a good portion of the day. You can run into him if you'd like as he is ever so prone to running into other people. In which cases of doing so you will get an apologetic 'I'm so terribly sorry!' from him.

Otherwise nevermind this derpy headmaster. He also might be lugging around some cookies he procured from the shop. Mm they smell tasty and are probably just as delicious too. ]

I implore everyone whose here to try out the cookies in the bakery! They're positively delicious, a little Luceti home cooking if you will. But, ah, w-welcome to Luceti. It's a bit to get used to...

It--has? [Pardon the confused look that sweeps over Naoki's face, but his smile doesn't dim. He's always happy to see a friend, okok.] I've been good! And you, Helios?

I-I think a...year actually. [ A frown. Almost a year now, wasn't it? ] I've been...good. Very good. I-I can't really complain. [ He's lying but you know. ]

A year? [Naoki's quiet as he takes this in, a frown finding its way over his mouth. He doesn't even remember leaving-- But that's not surprising, is it?

--hm. Remember how your friend is rather perceptive, Helios? Now's about one of those times it decides to kick in and he looks at Helios closer.] Are you sure?

Y-Yes. A...a year. [ Gdi Naoki. He's not used to people caring or picking up on these things. Just a smile. ] O-Of course. Last year was just...a bit difficult. But, ah, when it is not in this place hm?

I don't even remember leaving. [A year, huh... Naoki sighs lightly to himself, most of his surprise not showing on his face. A lot must have happened. Still, he peers up at Helios, smiling.]

True. Still, d'you need an ear? ['Cause, of course, Naoki's happy to listen.]

Really? That's rather strange... [ but interesting too. Helios blinks and then smiles. ]

Oh! N-No it's, it's alright. [ Helios you should really talk about your best friend stabbing you in the hand and smacking you and then taking you magic that night before Halloween. It would probably be best if you did at some point. He'll startle a little. ] Ah! Yes! Cookie? They're quite fresh!

It is. Maybe best not to worry over it, though. I'm back now. [Though he's lacking wings so...

Naoki gives Helios a look, then, oh-so-tempted to press him. But he's not one to.] If you're sure... [He blinks at the offer, but smiles a bit.] Sure, thank you. [Nom taking one.]

It's very nice to have you back too. [ He'll be taking a cookie for himself then. Helios can't complain he does miss their conversations after all. ]

There's been some changes since you've been. Battle Dome. Ocean. There's even missions now instead of the droids taking you. [ And with that he'll pause as if lost in thought and then blink. ]

[Naoki's expression warms. While not aware of being gone to begin with until now, he knows for sure he's always been fond of speaking to Helios.

He listens with a slightly tilted head.] Missions? [That he frowns at.]

Yes! They allow you go on specific types of missions. Each one has a different reward level and you can request things from them. Or-or they'll give you things that prevent you from feeling shift effects or even bypass getting taken by the droids. [ He'll take a bite of his cookie mmm delicious. ]

They also aren't as rough and missions are actually voluntary usually. I-I'd like to say it's a tad bit more humane than the droids. It's a small step but it's at least a step.

[Naoki nods his agreement slowly, rubbing his hand along his jaw, unconsciously.] Better than being dragged off at any time, mm.

Anything else happen, Helios? [He really wonders. What may be troubling the other.]

Yes it's infinitely better than the previous method. At least, well, at least there's a choice. [ Helios will take another bite out of his cookie.

He might be flexing his left hand, the hand which was injured. ] Mm no, not really. It's been...rather peaceful as of late. It was my birthday a month ago. [ A smile. ] And Christmas was wonderful as was New Years. There's been lots of snow too. But that's easy enough to tell. [ A light laugh from him. ]

The option of choice is good. Especially the ones we can make here for ourselves...

[Naoki glances down to Helios' hand, curiously, then looks back to his face.] Oh-- Happy belated birthday, then. [A grin.] There is a lot of it built up. [And still he's shirtless and utterly unbothered.]

Yes. Considering everything. [ Lack of having much of a voice here is still very off putting to him, especially when so many more things could probably be accomplished if they'd just listen and talk. ]

Ah thank you! It was a rather nice party. I'm not so much into that whole...craziness kids seem to like nowadays. [ Loud music, flashing lights all that jazz. Helios blinks at what he just said and then laughs. ] Oh dear my age is showing.

[--pfff. Naoki lifts his hand to his mouth to cover his laughter.] Might be, Helios. Maybe you should get into some of that craziness, huh? Shake off those years... [He grins, clearly teasing.]
