[ Oh dear. When Helios came outside the house to take Luminair and Maggir for a walk he was not expecting this. Helios might run into anyone who is walking by and will politely offer his apologies for bumping into said people. ] Oh! Ah. I-I'm terribly sorry...

Lots of people here today, aren't there? Very strange...none of them have any wings either. Hm.

[ Helios will ponder as he walks with one baby dragon draped across his shoulders and one nestled in his arms. He'll be making rounds to the tea shop, library, and of course the general store. ]

Oh! Um. It's very nice to meet you. [ His own smile widens as well. ]

You know Saori then?

I do, very, very well.

[She gives him a wider smile.]

She's...my roommate. My patron. My...well...my light. I wanted to thank you, for caring for her. She doesn't have many friends at home.

[folklorist]

O-Oh. Well you-you don't have to thank me for that, really. [ He gives a sheepish smile as he rubs the back of his head. ]

She's...helped my quite a bit as well. I'm glad to know her t-to be honest.

[rainsrespite]

And she's glad of the same, Helios. I should thank you, really. She told me you protected her from great pain. More than once, at that. You're doing my job for me. I appreciate it.

[folklorist]

I-I'm not so sure about that... [ He looks guilty and ever so uncomfortable at those words. If anything Helios has probably hurt Saori just as much as helped her, if not even more so. ]

A-And it-it's no trouble, really. I-I'm just doing what any friend would do. Saori deserves more than that much.

[rainsrespite]

What do you mean?

[She doesn't look upset or angry, just...a little curious. Maybe pensive.]

She does. She deserves good friends. And better family than I can provide.

[folklorist]

[ He shifts awkwardly, almost looking away because it's never easy to talk about. ] Um. It-it's nothing. Just...typical things that the Malnosso drag us into.

[ And maybe people's pasts as well. ]

It doesn't sound like nothing, Helios. But if you're uncomfortable, then I won't pry.

[Besides, she's like Saori, she can feel things too.]

She sees you as family, you know. That's obvious, even without words.
